On Nov. 8, Cypress Rock Productions and the Center for the Arts at Kayenta will host a special fundraising event at 2 and 6 p.m. At this event, attendees will get their first look at “Shred of Decency” in its entirety. What’s more, if you attend, you’ll not only have an opportunity to mingle with the cast and crew but you’ll also play a pivotal part in helping this storytelling team take that next important step in the process.
Back in April, we ran a piece about an in-production local short film called “A Christmas Night: 1944.” Based on an actual incident, this character-driven war drama finds soldiers from opposite sides of the battlefield coming together in the name of survival during a harsh winter season.
Many of you have been asking about the status of this project, and you’ll be happy to know that dedicated storyteller Dan Fowlks and his passionate cast and crew have not only completed a rough cut of this movie — which now goes by it’s original title, “Shred of Decency” — but they’re ready to share it with an audience. It should also be noted that what started off as a short film has evolved into a feature!
Additionally, you’ll be the very first to see “Shred of Decency,” a labor of love handcrafted by a truly creative, talented, and passionate group of storytellers committed to aiding Fowlks in bringing his epic vision to life.
Come on out and lend your support these driven artists.
Tickets to this very special exclusive event only run from $12 to $35, and if you purchase a $35 ticket, you’ll also receive a voucher to an upcoming Kayenta show! All the more reason to attend.
