Concert in the Park 2021 Series Is About To Launch
With Its First Concert of the Season!
Soul What!?
Style: Classic RnB & Funk
Date: April 12th−7:30 PM
Place: Vernon Worthen Park – 300 South 400 East, St. George
Drawing from years of collective international experience, and a shared passion for adventure in all pursuits, these four musicians create a colorful landscape of funk rhythms, soulful harmonies, and masterful guitar leads. Mike Moulton (guitar), Alice Ericksen (vocals), Elaine Stoddard (bass), and Chris Flaigg (drums) find Southern Utah to be the perfect backdrop for their new musical adventure, “Soul What!?” All are transplants from outside the area, who met at a local blues jam.
Quickly agreeing on a direction that felt very natural to each player, the band has cultivated a setlist that pays homage to R’n’B greats, including Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Al Green, and Stevie Wonder. Also sprouting up on the program are songs by newer soul artists like Joss Stone, Duffy, and Adele. Each member of “Soul What!?” is a recognized and accomplished performer and witnessing the combination on stage makes for a memorable experience. Get your groove on with the funky sounds of “Soul What!?”
