Arroyo
This goofy goober is ready to be the best friend you’ve ever had! Arroyo is a loyal, energetic dog who would do anything for his people. He loves long car rides with hand-holding and adventuring to new places to roam and explore. Snuggling and making you feel special are his greatest strengths. Give Best Friends a call if you have an opening in your home and your heart for this lovebug.
Raccoon
Raccoon is one of the most unique little Chihuahua’s you will ever meet. First of all, his cuteness is beyond compare with his big ears and pink nose. Then, he has this waddle type walk that looks like he’s dancing. His dinner time routine consists of a little dance including spins and twirls. Just watching him will put a smile on your face. Raccoon is an older gentleman and really needs a quiet place to relax and retire. He enjoys just hanging out on his bed or lounging in the sun. Because of some medical challenges he cannot walk far but does enjoy getting pushed in his stroller. He also does hydrotherapy once a week and loves “running” in the water. Raccoon is more of a “by your side” kind of dog versus a cuddler or lap sitter. He’s not super comfortable with handling and may need some time to warm up before he will accept handling and leashing. He does live with other dog friends and does well as long as they respect his space. He’s not much for playing but loves to share sniff and pee spots. Raccoon would do best in an experienced, adult only home where it is quiet and has some routine and consistency. If you’re interested in meeting Raccoon please contact an adoption specialist for more information.
Ghostrider
Ghostrider is a big hunk of a dog. But while he’s big and tough-looking, he’s been friendly and sweet with every person he’s met at the Sanctuary. Ghostrider’s favorite activities include hanging out in the sun with his toys or lounging around inside with his humans, being a big couch potato. He also loves car rides. Ghostrider would do best in a home where he’ll get lots of love and attention because he tends to get a little anxious when left alone. On his leash, he’ll pull when he sees wildlife, so he’ll need a strong person to walk him. At home, he’ll need a yard with a secure fence. Although he can have doggie friends, he would do best as the king of a castle with no other animals. Once you meet him, you may only have eyes for him anyway.
Tippy
Tippy lived her entire life as a pet and then sad circumstances separated her from her person. She is now doing a great job adjusted to her life with several other cats on the sanctuary. She is sweet and loves pets from our patient and caring volunteers who are always sent into her room to spend extra time with her. She always perks up when volunteers come to spend time with her (and when caregivers bring her a bowl of food). She quickly bounces back and forth from eye level surfaces, enthusiastically enjoying the attention and petting. Will you give this little, gentle girl the warm, loving home that she needs? She will be forever grateful.
Snowbie
Meet Snowbie. A gorgeous cat with stunning blue eyes, he was born in 2016 and came to Best Friends through no fault of his own after his person passed away. Although he hangs out in the rafters, he’s not shy at all. He just likes it up there. Snowbie loves people and getting attention, and he gets along with other cats. He also likes treats and being brushed. Take home this affectionate stunner today!
Tudie
Tudie is a calm, quiet, independent and shy cat. She enjoys spending most of her time in a screened-in porch, catching a breeze and daydreaming. But she comes inside to eat, and if she ever had the chance at a real home, she might begin to let someone into her world. A beautiful, healthy girl, Tudie came to the Sanctuary after her person passed away. Born in 1998, she’s a mature cat who has no interest in other felines but doesn’t care if there are one or two around. She’s never had a really close friend since Best Friends have known her. Could you give Tudie the chance to be your cat? It will take patience to build a relationship with her, but it would be so rewarding!
RSQ Dogs+
Pepsi
From Pepsi’s foster family: Welcome Pepsi!! He is so sweet and goofy at the same time. It seems as though he’s spent his life outside and he’s still figuring out inside life. He loves kids, gets along with all dogs, and has figured out the doggy door. They think he’s about 1 year old and a heeler mix. Pepsi is available as a foster to adopt until his vetting is complete.
Asher
At 5 months old, Asher looks like he’s going to be a big boy. He has a sweet disposition and loves to snuggle. Asher will be going to a foster family where he will be available as a foster to adopt once his vetting is complete. Please give RSQ Dogs a call if you would like to meet this adorable pup.
Seven
Seven was one of RSQ Dogs “parvo puppies” from this past summer who made a full recovery and went on to adoption. Sadly, he returns to RSQ Dogs through no fault of his own, his family simply didn’t have time for him. He’s an exuberant 9-month-old boxer mix who’s had little training. However, he is house-trained. An active family, familiar with the breed, and a commitment to teaching him proper manners would make the perfect forever home for this sweet puppy.
Loki
RSQ Dogs’ friend Loki here has been waiting a LONG time for his family to find him. Loki is one of the calmest and most chill cats they have met. On most days you can find him sleeping on his back on a swing or in the sun on the Catio. He is great with everyone and does not react to other cats. He is a BIG, lazy, fluffy kitty and he’s ready to be a part of a loving family. Requirements: Must have yummy food and a nice warm window to bask in.
June
Pretty little June Bug has tons of personality. She loves to cuddle, play, follow you everywhere and like to talk with you. She’s good with any other cats that come her way. She was born sometime in June 2019.

Diegos
Do you have time for a senior dog? Diegos is a well mannered sweet old boy. In his mind, he is still a young pup that loves to fetch. He has shown to be very calm and relaxed. He enjoys short walks here and there. He has a large growth over his right eye that has been see by a veterinarian. He also has some “old age” in his back hips but that doesn’t stop him from running and playing but he should not be climbing steps. His adoption fee is $30.
Max
Max is a sweet boy, that enjoys walks, and loves to play with his toys. He is a big boy, so a home with a fenced yard where he can run around would be best. He is approximately 3 years old and very active. He bonds quickly and is very lovely. His adoption fee is $60.
Koda
Koda is an extra-large boy and is on diet and exercise program. He has lost over 31 pounds since coming to shelter. His blood work is normal. Koda loves being with people, going for long walks and playing with toys. He is a people pleaser. His adoption fee is $60.
Kiki Dee
Kiki Dee needs a quieter atmosphere and would appreciate a home with adults only or calm older children. She is low maintenance, low fuss, and is the perfect housemate. She would do best as the only cat in the home as she doesn’t like a lot of competition for her affection. She is quite striking in her looks with a beautiful soft coat. The senior Special Adoption fee is $20.

Butch
Butch joined the BAM family having been labeled a 17-year old dog who was likely more in need of a hospice home than typical rescue. Now that he’s in care and has been seen by their vets, they have the better assessment that he is still a senior but more likely 10–13 years old. Butch, however, has some neurological defects and impaired vision that can make him seem older. In spite of those physical issues, Butch has learned how to cope with two groups of five or more dogs in both his foster home and at their adoption center where he spends most of his days. Butch will often motor around with a funny little wobble but can see shapes or contrast well enough that he doesn’t typically bump into things. Their biggest concern for this little guy is that he ate some gravel and had to undergo surgery to have rocks removed from his system that wasn’t moving either direction. This may be something hell try to do again if unsupervised so they will be quite particular about the home he ends up in to ensure his health and well-being. To find out more about Butch, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $100 but Butch is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program. If you are 65 years of age or older, ask Julie about the program.
Freddie
Freddie is an adorable 5-year-old chihuahua. Freddie came to BAM in very rough shape but, after gaining some weight, having surgery and a dental, he is now ready for his forever home. Freddie loves to snuggle with his humans and likes to play with toys. His foster mom recently learned he even likes to play fetch! He gets along well with small dogs but generally isn’t a big fan of big dogs. Freddie is housebroken with a dog door and is crate trained. He would prefer a quieter home without small children. To meet Freddie or find out how to adopt him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $125.
Missy
Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.
Barry
Were you widowed by a grumpy old man? Have you been looking to add another to your life since his passing? Have we got the dog for you! In all seriousness, little Barry has good reason to be grumpy. He came to BAM with a broken pelvis from a California shelter. Since being BAM’s care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies in his space, big dogs who don’t respect him and–adding insult to injury–he now has kidney stones! BAM wants the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace and love. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs. He enjoys certain members of BAM’s team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea. To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Dom
Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.
Sabrina
After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program
