Holy Molysouthern tuah adoptable pets Holy Moly

Holy Moly is like a giant puppy with his zest for life. He’s silly and has a great sense of humor and a wonderful smile. He loves to snuggle and to play, and he tries really hard whenever he’s learning anything new. Although he has degenerative joint disease, medications and supplements, as well as hydrotherapy and chiropractic appointments, keep him feeling his best. Though he does tire quickly, he’s able to stay active doing agility, swimming, going for walks, playing with squeaky toys and wrestling with his doggie friends. He also loves car rides. Born in 2014, Holy Moly has some obsessive-compulsive tendencies. He has a hard time staying focused when he’s tired or excited. He has struggled in the past with grabbing his leash and shaking it vigorously while walking. Dogtown trainers and caregivers have been working with him on this and have taught him to hold a toy in his mouth instead. Holy Moly will need to go home with someone who can understand and work with him when he gets tired or frustrated. He has learned impulse control and can usually calm down quickly. He is learning to pay attention and follow many training cues. Holy Moly is an incredibly sweet boy and it’s a joy to have him as a companion and friend.

Trixsouthern utah adoptable pets Trix

Trix is active, excited about life and loves the great outdoors. She’s always ready to play fetch, go for walks or run around. Because she’s shy and fearful with strangers, especially men, she’s considered a flight risk and needs a securely fenced yard and a person who can keep her safe. Other than that, Trix is pretty low-maintenance. She may make you work to earn her trust at first, but once she warms up to you, she’s super sweet and will lavish you with affection. She’s been great with other dogs that she’s comfortable with at the Sanctuary, and she is very attached to her canine roommates. Sometimes, she’s hesitant to go for walks with new people if her dog friends aren’t with her. But at Dogtown, she’s working on getting more comfortable meeting strangers, going places without her doggie roommates and eating her meals when there are strangers around. Born in 2018, Trish came to Best Friends though local animal control and is ready to move on to a home of her own.

southern utah adoptable pets Duchess

Duchess has a really sweet personality and wants attention and affection from humans. She has also shown good dog skills at the Sanctuary, though she seems to prefer females. Duchess was born in 2016 and came to Best Friends through local animal control. Not much is known about her past other than that she may have growled at men in her previous home. Dogtown caregivers have not seen that behavior here. Since arriving at the Sanctuary, she has been working on socialization with volunteers and other people she doesn’t know to increase her comfort level with strangers. Duchess would love to get to know you and be part of a loving household again.

Avisouthern utah adoptable pets Avi

Avi takes some time to get to know people. Once he gets used to you, he will rub against you to be petted and willingly accepts attention. He doesn’t like to be picked up, though. He loves other cats and enjoys playing and snuggling with them. Born in just 2015, Avi was rescued along with 29 other cats when their person passed away. He’s in good health. He’s looking for a home with a calm, patient person who has other cats. He can be very sweet once he gets comfortable, and he’ll learn to trust over time.Avi is a Caturtle, also known as a shy cat who comes out of their shell in a home.

Cinnasouthern utah adoptable pets Cinna

Cinna likes people, but he’s a little reserved. He won’t approach you, but if you go up to him he’s happy to accept attention. He’s the same way with other cats. He also does fine with dogs. Born in 2006, he came from an overcrowded situation. Cinna is a very sweet boy who doesn’t ask for much. He’s a bit of a wallflower, but we think he’d blossom in a home where there are fewer cats and he receives more attention.

Alfonsosouthern utah adoptable pets Alfonso

Alfonso can be a little skittish around new people until he gets comfortable. He’s affectionate towards cats he knows; he’s playful and loving with his brother Abraham. Born in late 2017, Alfonso was found as a stray. He has Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), so he’ll need to be an only cat or live with other cats who have the virus. Hint: Brother Abrahm also has FeLV, so it would be great to adopt them together. Alfonso has a tail that is so long it curls up over his back. He loves to go on stroller rides. Alfonso loves to lay on his back in the sun, just primed for belly rubs.

Echo is an 8-month-old cattle dog who was found with her brother, Logan, out on the AZ strip. Here is what her foster mom says about her: “Echo is a beautiful, energetic, young sweetheart. Her slender, athletic build is indicative of her instinct-driven need to work with, play with, and please her family. Extremely intelligent! Given the right training and opportunities, Echo’s potential is limitless. She loves being part of the family. She grunts and groans with pleasure when bathed with praise and affection. She is house trained and leash trained. She does ok with small dogs but can get a little rough when playing with them. Her favorite things are playing with water and receiving belly rubs. Once you earn her trust she will give you 100%.”

His favorite outdoor activity is playing with and in water!!! Can’t get enough!!! He is sweet with little dogs and is a quick learner. Walks beautifully on a leash and is house trained. He spends his days playing, running around, sleeping, snuggling and doing walk-by lickings every chance he gets! Cole and Jakesouthern utah adoptable pets COLE&JAKE

Cole is a black/white terrier blend and Jake is a white terrier blend and they are looking for an adoptive home together. They lived together in their previous home and look to each other for comfort and support. Jake & Cole are housebroken, crate trained, love car rides, love walks, and love lap sitting. They have been through a lot lately and aren’t comfortable yet showing their true personalities but they do a lot of tail wagging and Jake will sometimes talk to you. Jake is the more outgoing of the two and Cole is a bit timid. For this reason, BAM will not place with young children but they expect they would be fine with respectful, older kids. Jake is 10 years old and Cole is 8 years old. These dogs are easy keepers and would be good for a first-time dog owner as well as folks who have more experience. To meet them, contact J at (435) 272-2734 or write to J@BAMutah.com.

Jaspersouthern utah adoptable pets JASPER

Jasper is a 1-1/2-year-old terrier blend with the sweetest disposition ever. He loves to play with other dogs and with humans as well. He is a high energy little guy and would enjoy walks, hiking, and play with his human. Jasper knows how to use a dog door. Jasper will be neutered on February 20. He is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster to adopt with adoption to be finalized after his neuter. To find out more about Jasper, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Lilysouthern utah adoptable pets LILY

Lily is a beautiful 3-year-old girl who came to BAM with a brand new litter of puppies. Now that they’ve found their homes and she has been spayed, she is looking forward to finding a home of her very own. Lily is an oversized lap dog and she’s happy to climb on yours if she’s allowed! She loves to go for walks and is happy to “sit” or “down” for you…if you have a treat for her. She loves her toys and will hoard them. Lily is great with small dogs and will make friends with bigger dogs that don’t try to dominate her. A meet with potential dog siblings prior to adoption is best. She is fully house trained and knows how to use a dog door. To find out more about Lily text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Tibbysouthern utah adoptable pets TIBBY

Tibby is the sweetest 9-year old black and tan Miniature Pinscher blend who’s just looking for a warm lap to snuggle in. Tibby is housebroken and knows how to use a dog door. She likes to go for walks and car rides. Although she hasn’t met a two-legged stranger she doesn’t love, she isn’t a big fan of big dogs. She is good with smaller dogs and may make friends with a bigger, friendly dog. She is said to be good with children and with cats. To find out more about Tibby, meet her and see if she’s a match for you, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Missysouthern utah adoptable pets MISSY

Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.
