Lottisouthern utah adoptable pets

Lotti is one happy, energetic girl. Born in 2012, she loves running around with her toys and swimming in her pool. Lotti came to Best Friends from the animal welfare department of New Mexico. She can be a bit picky and in-your-face with her dog friends, so she’ll need a home where she can either be the only dog or have a tolerant canine companion. Super smart and people-loving, Lotti is ready to learn about life in a forever home. Lotti is currently on a special diet and medication for environmental allergies. Lotti has a generous sponsor who will pay for her adoption fee.

Akitasouthern utah adoptable pets Akita

Akita is such a fun girl! She’s happy to greet you with a big smile on her face. Even though she’s technically a senior, she’s still quite active and enjoys long walks or hikes. She believes age is just a number, and you shouldn’t let it define you. Akita can be a bit wary of new people, so she does need to take some time to meet new friends. After a few walks with some tasty treats, she’ll be happy to welcome you into her friend group though! Although Akita does live as a single dog at the Sanctuary, she has the potential to make new dog friends. She’s just picky about her playmates. And cats are a definite no for this girl. Do you have room in your heart for a sweet, senior girl like Akita? If so, please reach out to learn more about Akita!

Isabelsouthern utah adoptable pets Isabel

It’s easy to fall in love with Isabel. She’s a real sweetheart who bonds closely with other dogs and with people. Isabel had knee surgery after she came to the Sanctuary, but she’s since recovered and has become a rock star at agility. She loves her walks and has great leash manners. Isabel was born in 2014 and has anxiety. She doesn’t like it when people leave her, and she can be jumpy and mouthy when she senses they are about to go. She would do best in a home with someone who has a lot of time and patience to give her, and where there are no small dogs or cats. Once she settles in and feels safe, some of her anxiety will likely fade. All she wants is someone who will be there for her for life. If you should decide that you’re Isabel’s someone, she has a generous sponsor who will cover some of her adoption costs.

Martinsouthern utah adoptable pets Martin

This handsome senior came to Best Friends when his person lost his home to foreclosure in 2014. He can often be found snuggled up to his best friend, Carlson, who also came from that home. Martin is initially timid around people. However, once you’ve earned his trust, there’s no limit to how much time he’ll spend on your lap. Born in 2008, he has a heart murmur but is not on any medication and he’s doing very well. If you have the patience to gain his trust, you will adore this sweet boy and the love he has to give. Can you give Martin the forever home he deserves?

Carlsonsouthern utah adoptable pets Carlson

This handsome senior came to Best Friends in 2014 when his person’s house was lost to foreclosure. Carlson can often be found snuggled up with his best friend, Martin, who also came from that home and who makes him feel safe. Born in 2007, Carlson is looking for someone with quiet patience and loving attention to teach him to trust again. Are you that person?

Haruonsouthern utah adoptable pets Haroun

Haruon is a handsome lilac point siamese with adorable ear tufts. He’s a classic siamese- very friendly, playful, and affectionate. He likes to greet you at the door and then proceeds to weave between legs. He loves people but is still adapting to living with so many cats. Snatch this boy up today, he won’t be there long!

Peanutsouthern utah adoptable pets Peanut

This little nugget of love is an adorable little Border collie. Peanut is a great size, about 30 pounds. He is young approximately 1–2 years old. He knows his basic commands and loves to play. He has been getting along with other dogs and would make a great addition to someone’s home with or without children.

Baileysouthern utah adoptable pets Bailey

From Bailey’s foster: “This is Bailey! She’s living at my house while I’m working from home & she’s waiting for her forever family. She’s 1 year old & the sweetest little pup there ever was. She can run for days & loves playing with my dogs, but she also loves to cuddle up on the couch with me. She’s house trained & can use a dog door. She is a bit of an escape artist so needs a home with a well-fenced yard— although every time she’s jumped a fence, she’s just been trying to get back to us. She knows how to sit & she loves her crate. She’s adoptable through RSQ Dogs”.

Torisouthern utah adoptable pets Tori

Little Tori is initially a little shy but is warming up to people. She’s playful and purrs away when you talk to her. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Babs is a 5-year-old petite long-haired beauty. She is a diabetic who does require small doses of insulin twice daily. She is a wonderful cat who will be a terrific companion cat for those special humans who are lucky enough to be called hers. She does not like dogs and needs a home without them. She is currently in foster living with other cats. She has been fully vetted, had a full dental, and is easy to give her insulin to. This lady deserves a loving calm home to call her own. Her adoption fee is $75.

Tommysouthern utah adoptable pets Tommy

Not only is Tommy a handsome young man, but he is also a very calm and sweet companion! Tommy would love a human to share his gentle personality with. He likely didn’t get the close bond he needed as a pup and is ready to settle in and share some smiles. Tommy is crate trained potty trained, and an extremely well-behaved house dog. He is still getting comfortable with family life so he would prefer a quiet household. If he is not your sole companion, he would prefer mature children and a female dog (cats unknown). Tommy enjoys his walks or hikes, walks well on a leash, and rides well in the car. He is estimated to be about 2 years old, is 47 lbs., has all of his vaccinations, and is chipped and neutered. If interested, please call his foster mom at (858) 531-8919.

Domsouthern utah adoptable pets DOM

Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.

Sabrinasouthern utah adoptable pets Sabrina

After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.

Missysouthern utah adoptable pets MISSY

Missy is a gorgeous blue Cane Corso/Pit blend who was very reserved when she first joined BAM but has begun to come out of her shell in foster care. They are sure this means that an adoptive home would get to see even more of her personality shine. Missy would love a person or family that she didn’t have to share with another dog. However, it may just be that she prefers to be the only girl dog in the home, so if you have a male dog and would like to introduce them, BAM can facilitate that. Missy might look tough but deep down she is just a softy that loves to give kisses and cuddles. She also loves to go on walks and car rides and gets a little sad when you leave her behind. She is very choosy on who her furry house companions are because she likes a lot of love so she does best being the only dog. However, she doesn’t mind other dogs visiting. Missy is 100% potty trained and would be best with older children because she needs a quiet environment. She is a wonderful dog who will be a great addition to someone’s family. Missy is a medium dog with a lot of muscle, so she would be a good exercise companion and it would help her stay fit too. To find out more about Missy text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. Missy’s adoption fee is $125.
