Shaggysouthern utah adoptable pets Shaggy

This handsome fellow got his name due to his adorable, cartoonish look and loping walk. Shaggy is a friendly, easygoing teddy bear and is always thrilled to meet people. While he enjoys getting out and about he is just as happy spending his time indoors with his friends acting as your couch cushion. Despite his age, his puppy behavior does come out during high excitement and he may pull and jump, so he is working on his impulse control to help him improve these behaviors. He enjoys being around other dogs but is not particularly playful with them and would prefer to spend playtime with people. This large, handsome lovebug is ready and waiting for a forever home! Fill out the adoption survey to meet Shaggy and see if he could be your next best friend!

Strawberrysouthern utah adoptable pets Strawberry

Strawberry is as sweet as her name! She is friendly and affectionate with everyone, although her exuberance for life may make her a better fit in a home without small children or anyone unsteady on their feet. Strawberry would make a great exercise buddy.

This smarty-pants aced her C.L.A.S.S. training program so she holds attention, has leash up manners, waits at the door, comes when called, abides by loose leash walking, offers a polite greeting, waits for the food bowl, and knows ‘leave it,’ ‘stay,’ ‘give’ and ‘take’ (trades valuable objects), in addition to two tricks! She has a history of ear infections so she experiences sensitivity around her head and ears, but that doesn’t prevent her from being a loving cuddle bug. Adopt Strawberry and she’ll help you meet all your fitness goals!

Markisouthern utah adoptable pets Marki

All black except a white spot on the belly, Marki is looking for love and treats. This young male has the silkiest fur on planet Earth, enough energy to power a small car, and does the cutest flop onto the ground when he wants belly rubs. Call off your search for the bouncy black cat of your dreams–he’s already here.

Jakesouthern utah adoptable pets Jake

Jake is a young cockatiel looking for his forever home. He is a little shy when you first meet him, but he will warm up and make an amazing companion. He likes to whistle back and forth with people. He did live with another cockatiel in the past.

Rensouthern utah adoptable pets Ren

Ren was sent to Best Friends from another rescue. She is inquisitive and loves to make little noises to get your attention. Ren doesn’t quite understand how to step up yet. Hands can be a little scary, but she is young and without a doubt she will learn how much fun life can be when she can come out and play. If you think you can give Ren a chance to “come out of her shell” fill out an adoption application today to meet her! She is a sweetheart!

She is currently in a foster home that is helping her blossom into the amazing dog she is. She would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.

Nikesouthern utah adoptable pets Nike

Nike is a 1 ½-year-old Basenji mix, we think, due to her looks and lack of barking. She came to RSQDogs with her two babies, Crash and Crush. She loves to play with them and run around. She’s not much of a cuddler, but she appreciates pets and likes attention. She would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.

Crashsouthern utah adoptable pets Crash

Crash is a 5-month-old German Shepherd/Basenji mix. He came to us with his mom, Nike, and his brother Crush. They are the perfect age to adopt so you can watch their personalities unfold. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with her siblings, other cats, or alone.

Shermansouthern utah adoptable pets Sherman

Twelve-year-old Sherman is one sweet boy who has been let down by humans. After his human of 5 years passed away, the kids wouldn’t keep him because his cough keeps them up at night. Sherman has not been to the vet in over 2 years. PAWS suspects he may have an enlarged heart and they will have him vetted this week. This darling guy prefers to be the only dog and he doesn’t understand small children. PAWS is looking for an adopter or foster to love this boy for the rest of his life. If you have a calm loving home and can take this lap dog into your home, please submit an adoption application to dixiepaws.org/adopt or dixiepaws.org/foster. He’s a small long hair chihuahua, loving and will make one great companion dog. His adoption fee is $75.

Acesouthern utah adoptable pets ACE

Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly! Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates. Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.

To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
