Zorro

Zorro is a friendly, fun guy who enjoys walks on the Dogtown trails and exploring. He prefers to be around dogs who don’t play too rough or come on too strong. Zorro enjoys being around people and the companionship they provide. If you’d like to meet Zorro and experience his huge smile in person, please fill out an adoption application today.

Larry

Are you looking for a friend who wants to go adventuring? Look no further! Larry is a goofy boy who is energetic and curious about the world. He loves being around people and will happily lean in for a good pet. On his walks, he’s sniffing out every new smell, and he’s likely to look back up at you with a dusting of sand around his nose and a happy hound smile as if to say, “Do you see what I found?”

Here at the sanctuary, he’s gotten along with his runmates and seems eager to make new friends. He’s still learning some basic manners, but he’s very smart and picks up on new things quickly. Larry would love to charm you with his sweet personality and be your new best friend.

Chad

What do you get when you cross a Belgian Malinois with a Basset Hound? You get a Chad!

His little legs are great for walking and hiking, and he has no clue he is on the shorter end. Chad bonds strongly to his people and needs to meet strangers in a routine way to ensure he’s set up for success. Chad really enjoys playing with other dogs and snuggling up with people he trusts. If you’d like to meet Chad, please reach out to an adoption specialist today.

Bobbi

Bobbi will make your heart swoon! He loves to flop over on his back and ask for love. Bobbi doesn’t mind other cats and would thrive in any home with proper introductions to other pets. He is a gem, and anyone would be lucky to have him as a new family member!

Mischief

Mischief is a sweet boy who came to us with a bite wound to his back end. He has since made a full recovery and would love nothing better than a home of his own where he can flourish. He is energetic, playful and loves to be held, and loves laps.

Zamarad

Zamarad is a big boy with a big personality. He is super friendly and is very playful! He is ready to be pet and loved on by you! This adorable sweetheart will be an amazing addition to your home!

Moira

Moira is an adorable mixture of what we believe to be Basset Hound and Poodle. She is playful and excited at the prospect of going to a loving home. Moira just loves to cuddle and give kisses.  Patience and training will make her the most loyal pet!

Daisy

Daisy has been returned to RSQ as her previous owner was unable to care for her anymore. She has high energy and would love someone who would take the time to train with her to help her develop her skills. She likes hiking but dislikes sharing her bones. A little more training would go a long way with this sweet girl who just wants to be loved! Come meet Daisy today!

Bolt

“Can Anybody Find Me, Somebody, to Love”? Bolt was adopted from us a few years ago and was returned as his prior owner was unable to spend as much time with him as he wanted. This big bundle of love is learning to trust again and needs someone who will invest their time to train him. He will be the perfect exercise partner! His foster family loves him to pieces, but he startles often and is not cut out for close apartment living. He loves kids and longs for a family with room for him in their hearts, backyard, and bed. He puts himself to bed at 9 pm every night and is happy to stay there until you call him for breakfast! Come see if you can make Bolt the happiest dog on earth and provide him a safe and loving home.

Tony

Are you ready to meet the most loveable guy? Look no further. Tony is a young cat who needs someone who needs him. He is the sweetest, friendliest, most loving cat ever. Head bumps are his favorite and he’ll let you pet him endlessly. All he asks is for you to adopt him and love him forever.

Big Red

Are you searching for a fun, friendly, and adorable family member? My name is Big Red and I’m the guy for you! I had been living outside in the cold and my fur had become so matted. I’ve had a buzz cut and it will soon grow back and be luxurious. And I’m house-trained too.  I can’t wait to find my warm and loving forever home.

Bob Ross

My name is Bob Ross. I can be a bit bashful when I first meet folks, but it does not take much coaxing for me to relax and trust with gentle words. I’m new to RSQ and am excited to find a loving home. I enjoy chin scratches and canned food will have me purring away. And I’m house-trained too. I am looking forward to all the comforts of being safely inside a home.

Blu

This one-year-old Russian Blue boy will flourish in a calm loving home. Blu loves affection and is so sweet. He loves spending time with another cat, preferably a male. He’s not thriving at PAWS because of the number of cats we have but the minute he has one cat friend and a human to love on he’s all in. Please consider giving this loving boy the home and the love he deserves. He’s gorgeous, plush, and loving. He’s currently in foster and can only be met by appointment.

Goldie

Meet 4-year-old Goldie. Her beautiful Gold Eyes tell her whole story. She is a lovely, calm, charming lady.  She is looking for a lap to cuddle in.  She has lived with another cat. She is a striking cat who will bring a lot of love into your home. Stop by PAWS to meet her and her feline friends.

Tillie

Stella

Hi, I am Stella. I love going for walks, playing in the yard, and playing with my chew toys. I’m just an all-around great gal and I just want to show you all the love I can give. I have lots of energy and tons of life and love to give my new people! We will need to work on some house training and I will give it my best.

I am a very sweet, gentle gal who would love nothing more than a home of my very own. Bonus! I’ve been told I have a delightful personality and that I’m very loving. She would probably be best as an only dog unless there were proper introductions and get acquainted time with another dog. We know she had a home at one time but lost it when the family moved. My adoption fee is $60.

Milo

Are you looking to live large? Then, let us introduce you to Milo! This beautiful brown brindle and white mastiff is a belly-rub-loving, people-adoring, attention-craving charmer! He has a big head and a big heart, which makes him hard to miss and hard to resist. What a big marshmallow! Milo will come right up to anyone and lean into them to get as close as possible to get a big hug. He’s an affectionate goofball who lives life to the fullest. Because of his size, he is going to do best in a home without young children. He does not always get along with other dogs. Milo would do better as the only dog in the home. His adoption fee is $60.

Leah

This lovely girl is just a hoot. Leah loves running, playing, and is full of energy. She was mainly raised outdoors. She knows basic commands like sit and paw. She loves playing with toys and can definitely entertain herself with them. Her coat markings are very pretty and the facial expressions she makes are priceless. She would do best in a home that is going to stay active with her and give her work/play to do. We know that she is going to make a home very happy! Her adoption fee is $60.

Cocoa

My name is Cocoa. I love to run, I love to play, and anything active just makes my day!. Making sure I get plenty of exercise and furthering my manners training will go a long way in helping me keep from making you dizzy from all my energy. I might do best in a home with children big enough to handle my exuberant spirit and zest for, well, EVERYTHING! If you’re looking for a running, hiking, biking, or agility (maybe flyball?) partner, I am SO your man. My adoption fee is $60.

Stevie Nicks

Do you want to live large- then Stevie Nicks is waiting at the shelter for you. Mustache and goatee make the perfect markings for this senior lady.

Stevie Nicks loves having her neck scratched and she’ll purr away to let you know when you’re doing it right! This pretty lady has some extra weight to lose and would love to go to a home where his people will help her work on this.

Are you looking to give an older kitty a second chance in life? She has a sweet spot for people who love to sit quietly and read or watch TV. She is a mellow girl and can be found taking an afternoon snooze on her favorite spot and would make a wonderful companion for a lazy afternoon nap. Do you know anyone looking for a nap partner? Maybe you? Her adoption fee is $40.

Shadow & Smokey

Shadow & Smokey are two boys looking for a home together! These handsome fellows were surrendered by their owner due to a change in life circumstances, and they’re anxious to get back to a home environment. We’ve always been together, and we like to cuddle with one another and with our people. Sweet, but shy, we may take a little time to warm up at first, mostly because we’re not sure why we’re here. But once we’re comfortable with you, we turn on the charm. We’re hoping for a quiet home where we can sit on the sofa with you and warm up your bed. Spend some time with us so you can see how great we truly are. The adoption fee is $40.

Kitters

Kitters came to the shelter after his owner passed away. He is very friendly and loves attention. He was treated to a spa day with a shave and bath and is ready for summer weather. He is ready for another loving home and a second family. Kitters has a special senior animal adoption rate of $20.

Nick

Nick is a beautiful 61 pound neutered male Malamute mix with classic Keeshond markings. He is 7.5 years old, is non-aggressive, and is timid in his demeanor. He will bond closely with a single person but is friendly with all who live in the household. He is good with other dogs and cats and barks only when a new person is in the house or yard. His tail was removed two years ago because of a tumor but he’s fine now. He’s recently been groomed and had a dental so he’s good to go!

Nick likes routine. He walks well once he is familiar with the route. He likes to be both inside and outside, knows how to use a doggie door, and is house trained. If he is the only dog, you can free-feed him; he eats what he wants and leaves the rest for later. Nick likes to sleep in the bedroom on the floor. He doesn’t jump on furniture. He is mild-mannered when giving him a bath and is not afraid of the dryer. He is not very good in the car; if taking him to the vet or groomer he needs to be kenneled or have someone sit with him in the back seat, paying attention to him.

The best family for Nick is a retired couple or individual who likes to chill at home. Frequent travelers are not a good match for him.

Koko

Koko has a sweet personality and is pretty chill. She enjoys playing with other dogs at the dog park and going on morning and nightly walks (although her hound dog nose slows her down stopping to smell anything interesting). If she gets off her leash, she will run:  she is so happy to be free and smelling EVERYTHING! She loves tug-o-war and playing with her toys, especially the squeaky ones, and rarely chews up anything she isn’t supposed to even though she is still just a puppy.

Koko is pretty mellow during the day but if she doesn’t get energy out she will get hyper at night. She is crate trained but loves sneaking into bed with the kids. She can sit and shake and rings the bells or barks when she wants to go out. She is good with cats (until she wants to play and they don’t). She is good with people and loves little kids but will jump on them to play so she would do better with children eight years old and up. She LOVES a good head, neck, or shoulder massage but may be the only dog ever to not like having her back or rear scratched!

Koko would benefit from consistent training by someone who has experience with hounds. She is an inside dog and needs an adopter who won’t plan on keeping her outside. She can be very vocal at the dog park but rarely barks at home. She will dig holes in the yard if she gets bored and, if permitted to dig in the sand, will be in doggy heaven! And, in case she gets muddy, she is not bad at taking baths.

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!

Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).

Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.

Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.

Lady

Still a baby herself at only 1-1/2 years old, sweet Lady has been the best mom ever since she came to BAM with seven two-day-old puppies. Her babies are weaned and going to new homes and now Lady is looking for her very own person to play with and spoil her rotten.

Lady is a gentle, smart, good-natured goofball who loves to play with people and other dogs (she does not, however, care for cats). She’s the perfect companion! Once she’s been spayed, the adoption will be final and this amazing girl will be yours forever.

Lady’s Puppies

Meet some of Lady’s wonderful puppies Tramp, Mochi, and Scooter. If you’re interested in any of the puppies, stop by that BAM Place Tuesday–Saturday between 9 am–5 pm, or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. If you don’t hear back within 7 days, please text us at (435) 773-5209.

Poppy

Poppy is a complicated girl who is both sweet and sassy. She would prefer a quiet home without small children where she is the only dog or maybe has one other small dog friend. Poppy is housebroken using a doggy door and gets along with her foster’s small dogs but is a loner.

Poppy is approximately 7-8 years old. She was rescued from a life on the streets of Phoenix and is still cautious, exhibiting some defensive behaviors but really wants to trust and love! She asks for belly rubs and neck pets but these must be given on her terms.

Poppy can be picked up and held if needed but she is not yet a lap dog. She fears having a leash or harness put on her but loves her walks! Because Poppy is HIGHLY treat motivated, patient training will likely be successful. She will require an experienced adopter with a slow, steady training protocol, lots and lots of repetition, and lots and lots of treats to help her overcome her fear and aggressive behavior.

Roxy

Roxy needs a playmate!  This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!

Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?
