Billysouthern utah adoptable pets Billy

Billy is such a handsome affectionate boy! With his wrinkly forehead and his perky ears, you won’t be able to get enough of this goofball! Billy loves to bring his toys to people and is happy to throw them in the air by himself. He is calm in the car and loves to go on hikes. His DNA test revealed that he’s 50% Boxer and 50% American Pit Bull Terrier. Billy can be a great exercise partner, but can also be a nice cuddle buddy as Billy loves a good nap too! Billy would do best living with only an adult family.

Fig

Hi, I’m Fig and I am ready to be your best buddy! Although I can tell you so many great things about myself I will let the awesome humans at Best Friends tell you!

Fig is a fun, sweet dog who loves taking walks and hikes on the Dogtown trails. He rides nicely in the car, walks politely on a leash, and enjoys a good game of fetch. Fig loves to relax in his big, soft bed. Due to an injury as a young pup, Fig has some minor arthritis in his back end but he gets around just fine. Fig must be the only dog in the home and he does not want to interact with other dogs, but he will make up for that with plenty of love and affection. He is crate-trained and muzzle trained. If you’d like to meet Fig, please fill out an adoption application today.

Tina is the more gentle of the two and doesn’t mind being touched or handled, although, like most chinchillas, he would prefer to do his own thing. Both boys are curious about people and come right up to check out what you are doing and they love all their toys and treats. They would make a great addition to any home- preferably together.

Hulk

Hulk is very friendly and curious. He loves to smell around and explore his surroundings. He also enjoys his time in the sun and is also very calm. He’ll make a perfect friend in any home. Hulk is a faithful, friendly, affectionate dog. He loves attention and petting.

He knows how to “sit”, and shake and does well on a leash. He loves to play with balls. Hulk is a calm dog, is always longing for attention and would be a great companion! Hulk needs plenty of exercise to help him get rid of that winter weight and be in perfect summer bathing suit shape.

Junior

Junior is a very smart and loving dog, he loves being the center of attention. He is very shy but enjoys spending time with everyone. He does tend to get jealous when someone else is getting attention so a home where he could be the focus would allow him to flourish.

I would be very happy to meet you and come to live with you. I am going to need lots of exercise and I am a little high energy when I first get outside but then I calm down and really soak up the lovin’ & attention that I am given. Ya know, a guy can’t pass up attention.

Bella

Hi, I’m Bella, and I have just one question for you: Do you have a ball? It can be a tennis ball or a big squishy ball or really any kind of spherical object that I can gleefully fetch before happily romping around with it in my mouth. I will bring it back to you, drop it, and bark so you know I am ready for you to throw the ball again.

Whether you’re looking for a jogging partner or a hiking companion or someone to tug on the other end of a rope with you, I’m your girl (and a pretty one at that, so I’m told). I would do best in a home with older children and no other pets, please.

Oreo

Anything for Love! With her affectionate nature and wiggling hips, it’s easy to see that Oreo adores people. A big, strong girl, she’d probably do just fine with older kids. She does well on a leash, walks with a loose lead, and waits for you if you stop without pulling. But she wants to please people so much that she should be a quick study.

Oreo is ready to give her heart and soul to whoever adopts her. If you’re looking for a devoted dog, please consider giving Oreo the chance to be your best friend forever. Oreo is two years old.

Nike

Super-friendly, with lots of energy, and really bright – that’s Nike! She loves meeting new people because she’s hoping one of them will take her home. The thought of having a real family is almost too much for her to handle.

She gets giddy with excitement, wiggling and hopping around. Never overwhelming, though, Nike has just the right amount of energy for the typical active family. She’d make a great hiking or jogging buddy. And smart? She already seems to understand sit and down. She shows a good, healthy interest in other dogs.

Henry & Harrison

Meet brothers Captain Henry and Harrison. These two boys are 6-year-old Maltese Shih-Tzu mixes and they are darling! They are bonded pair and must be adopted out together. They are potty-trained, well-mannered guys, love walks, get along with kids, and like to play. Captain Henry only has one eye, but that certainly does not hold him back in any way. Harrison can become protective of his children, so we believe they will do best in a home with older children or no children.

Sammy

Sammy is a 4 ½-year-old Standard Poodle. He is a very handsome guy and will make a great pet for someone. He needs some training but is very smart and will learn fast. He gets along with other dogs, too. He has lots of love to give so come meet him soon!

Biscuit (Elle)

Biscuit (Elle) is a little over 3 years old. She is good with other cats and loves to play. She would love to find a home with a soft bed in a sunny window. She is a very sweet cat with beautiful eyes and a cute pink nose. She says she’s waiting to meet and entertain you so come visit the PAWS Cat Room!

Leah

Leah is about 3 ½ years old and is a short-haired Tabby. She is a beautiful and sweet cat that gets along with other cats. She is playful and loves pets. Leah loves laying in a sunny window to soak up the rays. She will be a great addition to any family. Come and meet Leah in the PAWS Cat Room!

Phoenix

Phoenix is almost 3 years old and is a Russian Blue. He is a fun, attention-loving boy. He loves his humans and likes to play with other cats. He lived with another cat in his previous home. Food, treats, and snuggles are his love language. He is social and curious to meet new people. He would do best in a home with older children and adults as he doesn’t understand young children and them touching him, but boy does he love adults who are ready to give him love!

June Bug and Pups

Sweet June Bug has already weened her seven babies and we are looking for someone to foster any or all of them until they are ready to post for adoption.

June Bug is gentle and smart. She loves to play ball. She currently has a neck wound and needs to be monitored to make sure she doesn’t bother it until it’s healed.

Babies are approximately five weeks old and they are fluffy little social bundles of energy.

If you are interested in fostering, please contact Wendy at 435-773-5209.

Dash

Some Native American cultures believe having heterochromia (one blue eye and one brown) means one can see heaven and earth at the same time. They refer to this as having Ghost Eyes and beautiful Dash definitely has them. And if his eyes don’t melt your heart, his cute little nose will! Not only is he stunning, but he’s also a total love bug who will melt right into your arms.

Dash was dumped at Parowan Gap and lived on his own for at least two weeks. One of the local families put food out for him until he became brave enough to be coaxed inside where he immediately found the couch. He was good with their kids and dogs.

Dash is young (we’re guessing six months to a year) and has a lot of energy. He likes to play with other dogs but can be enthusiastic so he’ll do best with some training. He’s afraid of loud noises and sudden movements and terrified of water from a hose. Who knows what this sweet boy went through before he was left to fend for himself? He deserves so much better.

Bing and Chunk

Brothers Bing and Chunk were surrendered together and have rarely been apart since they were born 2 years ago and, although we would love for them to be adopted together, we think they’ll be fine separately.

Bing, named for his beautiful Bing Crosby eyes, is energetic, playful, and loves to chew (antlers and durable toys preferred). He also enjoys cuddling and giving kisses. Bing has some fear of riding in cars and freezes up and doesn’t want to get in. However, after just a few trips to the dog park with our fabulous volunteers, he’s already becoming more relaxed and has a great time once he gets there. Trips to other fun places should help him continue with his progress.

Chunk is a big softie who, as his name suggests, loves his food and very much looks forward to mealtime but he does fine eating with other dogs and has never shown any food aggression. He loves his snacks!

Both pups are good with other dogs, cats, and kids and will make a great addition to an active family. As puppies, Bing and Chunk may do better with older children who will make sure not to leave toys laying around. (Did we mention both do love to chew and will need supervision since they will swallow toys if allowed.) Both Bing and Chunk would benefit from some training as they can jump and be mouthy when excited and haven’t had much experience walking on a leash. They need a loving family with room to play and time to help socialize them.

Daisy

Born around the first of September, squatty-bodied Daisy likes to rough and tumble with the other dogs at the adoption center and then settle down for a well-deserved cuddle. Flip her over in your arms and she’ll melt for a tummy rub.

Daisy is almost housebroken. She’s good with kids, other dogs and cats! She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccinations and is available for adoption.

Flynn

Flynn is a picky eater and guards his food. For some reason, he is afraid of delivery trucks and some men. Unfortunately, this breed sheds more than most so his new adopter will need to be prepared.

A quick Google search on this breed shows they are affectionate, inquisitive, loving, alert, lively, active, intelligent, fearless, and playful dogs who tend to have separation anxiety when their owners leave them alone at home because they bond very closely with them.

Quincy

Although she isn’t doing the full husky howl yet, baby Quincy is already very talkative and she has plenty of important things to say.

Born May 31st, she’s almost … but not quite … house trained. She loves water and would be so happy with an adopter who doesn’t mind snuggling a wet girl! She has fun with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with cats!

Quincy’s going to make a great family dog but her puppy teeth are razor sharp and she likes to bite so she should be fully supervised around kids. She needs lots of chew toys until those big-girl teeth come in.
