RSQ

RSQ is a non-profit animal rescue in St. George, Utah. Our mission is to be a voice for the voiceless, bettering the lives of animals in Utah’s rural communities. All the animals in our care are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and any medical care they may need before adoption. We are open for walk-in visitors on Thursdays, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. For more information on RSQ and our adoptable animals, please contact RSQ at (800) 897-1136 or visit rsqutah.org.

Betty White

Meet Betty White. She was surrendered to RSQ so she could receive medical care. Although her diagnosis is still evolving, she is ready to find a home committed to keeping her healthy and happy.  She is friendly, affectionate, gentle, smart, curious, funny, quiet, protective, and independent.  And she is house-trained and would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.

Daisy

Daisy has been returned to RSQ as her previous owner was unable to care for her anymore. She is a very smart dog and full of fun but will need an experienced and committed handler to provide a loving forever home for her. She will need a home where she can be the only dog (no cats either) and one without small children. Once she gains your trust, Daisy is a very affectionate and loving dog. She rides great in the car and is house-trained. Going on a hike or walk is her favorite activity. Her adoption will come with a high-valued, paid-for training program that will help her learn to build relationships and set her up for success in her new home. The adoption is conditioned on her new owner agreeing to be part of this training process. Inquire with RSQ for more information on this great girl!

Ziggy

Our friend Ziggy has a chill personality and is looking for an active family. He is a bit skittish with new people and experiences but is so smart and trainable. We are enjoying building trust with him so he can more easily welcome loves! He will melt your heart and be the most loyal, bestest good boy! He especially loves a good belly rub! Fill out an app to meet Ziggy today!

Bran

Bran is an independent happy go lucky cat. He gets along with the other cats but is somewhat solitary. He enjoys playing with toys and basking in the sun. He’s an active member of the RSQ bird-watching club. Bran loves can food and while impatiently waiting for his bowl, he will steal food from another cat’s bowl by using his paw like a spoon.  He is house-trained and would be in a home with other cats or alone.

Shelby

Shelby is a few years old and sadly is now one of the longest residing cats at the rescue. She has a deformity on her right front paw that appears to be an injury that happened as a kitten or a deformity that she was born with. It doesn’t slow her down or cause her any pain though! Shelby is an independent cat. She is loving but on her terms. She wants what she wants when she wants it so be ready to give her head scratches and some snuggles on demand. Shelby is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.  Come meet this low-key girl! She deserves to be in a loving home.

Aries

We got Aries as a kitten with his brother Leo and now he’s full grown. Aries is an independent cat who also can be mischievous. He is confident and passionate. When he loves a human, he gives all his heart, which is probably why his favorite color is red. Ask volunteer Bryn about that! He would love to be king of the household and be the only cat. His spirit animal is a cheetah and like the cheetah, he can be full of energy. He’s an avid member of the RSQ bird-watching club. If you’re an Aries, you would be most compatible. However, the soulmate for Aries is Leo, Gemini, or Sagittarius. Do you have the sign for Aries?

Providing Animals With Support (PAWS)

PAWS Adoption Center is now open to the public Tuesday-Saturday 11 AM-3 PM. Located at 1125 W. 1130 N. in St. George. All pets are microchipped, spayed or neutered, and current on vaccinations. Charlie and Peanut

Charlie and Peanut have been together for several years so we would like them to be adopted together. Their owners developed allergies and could no longer be around them. They are both great little dogs, purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Peanut is a 4-year-old male and Charlie is a 3-year-old female. Come into PAWS and meet them both. You will want to take them home!

Arlo

This yummy little guy is adorable and looking for his new home.  He is about 6 months old and is a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. He is pure wiggle and energy and would love to have some kids or another dog to play with. Arlo is a typical puppy who would benefit from some puppy training classes. He’s very smart. Come in and meet him before someone else grabs him up!

Bob

Bob is a great cat with a chill personality. He is good with other cats and would be a very sweet companion for some lucky person or family. He is playful and loving. You really need to meet this guy. He’s waiting for you! Make arrangements to come in and meet wonderful Bob!

Callista

Callista is a young female who is just beautiful. She is very sweet and playful. She gets along with other cats. Callista weighs about 8 pounds so isn’t a very big cat. And just look at her gorgeous green eyes! She is waiting to meet her furever family so come on in soon.

Shira

Shira is a beauty. She is shy at first but loves attention when you give it to her. She would be good in a home with other cats or as an only cat. Shira was a mama last spring and is now ready to find her forever home. Come into PAWS and meet this wonderful cat!

Pecas

Pecas is the sweetest, most affectionate, little bowling ball-shaped dog you’ll ever meet! (she is round and firm and fully packed) The volunteers are absolutely in love with her. She is quiet, loyal, loving beyond words, and we were told she is potty trained. She will need a healthy diet and exercise program to help her drop those unwanted pounds. At 3 years old she is one happy girl and her tail wags her entire body. She did live with another dog but right now she wants to be the only dog in your home and receive all your love and attention.

Note: She is scheduled for her spay on 06/17/2022 so she can be adopted now and go home after her spay.

Denali and Anali

Brother & sister owners could no longer have the dogs. They have probably spent most of their young lives living outside so will need basic house training and work on basic commands. Make arrangements to meet them today!

Bruno

Bruno is a super sweet dog who unfortunately has not had consistent training and really needs a family who can set him up for success. He has energy to spare and would benefit from a home where he gets enough exercise and mental stimulation. He is a smart boy and learns quickly. It will be important, if you adopt this handsome boy, to give him the opportunity for lots of exercise! He loves people and spending time with you. Bruno is a big boy and sometimes forgets just how big he is especially when he wants to cuddle and share your seat. His adoption fee is $60.

Sadie

Meet Sadie, a young and active pup who is ready to find a place to call her own. She is spunky and full of life, which means that she needs someone who can keep her busy. This girl will need continued training and socialization so she can be one of the best canines out there. She is very smart but has not had someone to teach her many basic commands or manners yet.

Butterbaby

Butterbaby is a quiet, sweet kitty with a mellow, independent soul. She came to the shelter with two other housemates when their owner could no longer care for them. Butterbaby is a real beauty with her unique coloring and lush, luxurious fur. She is content to while away the hours taking long cat naps, or gazing out the window. She is a calm, gentle companion and will make a wonderful buddy to snuggle up with and enjoy a good book. She is very talkative and learning to play with toys.

Tigger

Tigger’s owner could no longer keep her. She is very shy but is warming up to everyone’s attention. She loves to be petted and sit with you while you watch TV, read, or just love on her. Make arrangements to come in and meet her today! Her adoption fee is $40.

If If you’re interested in any of our beautiful animals, submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. If you don’t hear back within 7 days, please text us at (435) 773-5209.

Lady

Still a baby herself at only 1-1/2 years old, sweet Lady has been the best mom ever since she came to BAM with seven two-day-old puppies. Her babies are weaned and going to new homes and now Lady is looking for her very own person to play with and spoil her rotten.

Lady is a gentle, smart, good-natured goofball who loves to play with people and other dogs (she does not, however, care for cats). She’s the perfect companion! Once she’s been spayed, the adoption will be final and this amazing girl will be yours forever.

Nick

Nick is a beautiful 61-pound neutered male Malamute mix with classic Keeshond markings. He is 7.5 years old, is non-aggressive, and is timid in his demeanor. He will bond closely with a single person but is friendly with all who live in the household. He is good with other dogs and cats and barks only when a new person is in the house or yard. His tail was removed two years ago because of a tumor but he’s fine now. He’s recently been groomed and had a dental so he’s good to go!

Nick likes routine. He walks well once he is familiar with the route. He likes to be both inside and outside, knows how to use a doggie door, and is house trained. If he is the only dog, you can free-feed him; he eats what he wants and leaves the rest for later. Nick likes to sleep in the bedroom on the floor. He doesn’t jump on furniture. He is mild-mannered when giving him a bath and is not afraid of the dryer. He is not very good in the car; if taking him to the vet or groomer he needs to be kenneled or have someone sit with him in the back seat, paying attention to him.

The best family for Nick is a retired couple or individual who likes to chill at home. Frequent travelers are not a good match for him.

Poppy

Poppy is a complicated girl who is both sweet and sassy. She would prefer a quiet home without small children where she is the only dog or maybe has one other small dog friend. Poppy is housebroken is using a doggy door and gets along with her foster’s small dogs but is a loner.

Poppy is approximately 7-8 years old. She was rescued from a life on the streets of Phoenix and is still cautious, exhibiting some defensive behaviors but really wants to trust and love! She asks for belly rubs and neck pets but these must be given on her terms.

Poppy can be picked up and held if needed but she is not yet a lap dog. She fears having a leash or harness put on her but loves her walks! Because Poppy is HIGHLY treat motivated, patient training will likely be successful. She will require an experienced adopter with a slow, steady training protocol, lots and lots of repetition, and lots and lots of treats to help her overcome her fear and aggressive behavior.

Oakley

Oakley is a goofy, fun-loving dog! He enjoys being glued to your side or playing with his toys. He loves hikes, playing fetch, laying next to you, baths, jumping in the water, and his very favorite thing: eating treats! Oakley will be the perfect dog for anyone who loves to be active!

Oakley is currently in foster care. Oakley is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped; all he needs is you!

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!

Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).

Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.

Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.

Roxy

Roxy needs a playmate!  This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!

Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?

Lady’s Puppies

Meet some of Lady’s wonderful puppies Tramp, Mochi, and Scooter. If you’re interested in any of the puppies, stop by that BAM Place Tuesday–Saturday between 9 am–5 pm, or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. If you don’t hear back within 7 days, please text us at (435) 773-5209.

Stella

For pitties sake! Really–no interest in this beautiful girl? How can that be? Stella is a wonderful, kind girl looking for love. At five to six years, she had very likely never experienced it before coming to BAM and every day she shows us her gratitude and affection. She’s finally figured out that people want to love her…and we all do! Stella e is so ready to start a new chapter in her life now with nothing but love in store.

Stella was so gentle when she played with her puppies but now they’ve all gone to their forever homes leaving her alone and lonely. She really wants someone to hold her close and play tug with her.

Gentle as she is, she had occasionally acted very protective of her puppies when other dogs or kids were nearby. For that reason, she may do best as a solo dog with no kids (or maybe ok with older, respectful kids), and, we assume, no cats.

Meet the Puppies

Meet the Puppies! Puppies galore! Come meet them at the BAM Place.

If you’re If interested in any of the puppies, submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you as soon as possible to arrange a meeting. If you don’t hear back within 7 days, please text us at 435-773-5209.
