Southern Utah Heritage Choir to Present “Home for the Holidays”

Featuring the Truman Brothers December 2 & 3, 2022

Two concerts featuring both new and traditional Christmas music will be presented by the Southern Utah Heritage Choir on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 7:30 PM, with a matinee on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 2 PM. Both concerts will be held at Crimson Cliffs High School Auditorium and will feature Shadow Mountain (Deseret Books record label) recording artists, the Truman Brothers.  Tickets for both concerts are available beginning October 1st at www.HeritageChoir.org.

Raised in Nashville, TN, and sons of Grammy-winning Diamond Rio musician, and St. George native, Dan Truman, the brothers spent their formative years in green rooms and on tour buses with their dad.  They both attended BYU and won the BYU “Battle of the Bands” in both 2007 and 2008. Now, they spend their time performing at Christian rock concerts or in the recording studio.  The Brothers have performed at the iconic Bluebird Café in Nashville and were recently asked to perform the first-ever Christian rock concert at The Tabernacle at Temple Square. Their debut album, Quiet Revolution, was Top 10 on the iTunes Christian chart.

“We are so excited to perform with the (Heritage) Choir,” said Chad Truman, “And we’re so excited to perform in the literal land of our forefathers!”

The Southern Utah Heritage Choir, with its 175 volunteer members, is now in its 29th season of providing popular and inspirational music throughout southern Utah and to national and international audiences.  As the largest community choir in the region, they will perform such popular Christmas songs as “Deck the Hall,” “Christmas is Coming,” “Ding Dong! Merrily on High!” as well as new arrangements to favorites such as “I Saw Three Ships,” and “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear” among others. The Truman Brothers will perform several of their own hit songs as well as other Christmas music.

The Choir is under the direction of Principal Conductor, Dr. Ken Peterson.  Its Artistic Director and accompanist are Tami Creamer with Karen Kennedy at the organ and Jennifer Redfearn at the piano.

General admission tickets are $20/person with a limited number of “family of four” packs available for $50. Visit www.HeritageChoir.org for tickets or more information.
