Frontier Homestead State Park Museum in Cedar City is pleased to announce a special exhibit by the Southern Utah Watercolor Society, featuring artwork by 19 different artists. The public is invited to an artists’ reception on Saturday, July 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. This artists’ reception is free, but normal entrance fees will apply after that time.

The Cedar City chapter of the Southern Utah Watercolor Society has been working this year to bring new and interesting programs, demonstrations and plein air events to the area. They encourages community members with an interest in water media painting to come to the reception to meet the artists and learn more about the watercolor society. Southern Utah Watercolor Society holds meetings on the third Monday of every month. These meetings are free and open to the public.

The exhibition at Frontier Homestead State Park Museum will continue until August 30. The museum is located at 635 North Main St. in Cedar City and is open Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about the display, call the museum at (435) 586-9290.
