Southern Utah Weekend Events Guide: Videocast and Weather

1Santa Clara Swiss Days

Santa Clara Swiss Days is back for another year of town remembrance and heritage. Running Thursday through Saturday, this year’s Swiss Days features a 5K run, parade, concerts, food, merchandise vendors and more. The festival will be held at Santa Clara Town Hall. Visit http://www.sccity.org/swiss-days for more information. It will be a weekend of sunny skies and hot weather, with the high temperatures reaching the 100s. 

2Utah Shakespeare Festival performs “Dracula”

Friday begins the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s performance of  “Dracula.” The show will be held at the Randall L. Jones Theatre in Cedar City. Friday’s show starts at 7:30 p.m. The production of “Dracula” will run until Oct. 31.

3Zeppelin USA

Friday night, head to the Casablanca Hotel in Mesquite for Zeppelin USA. Hear the best of Led Zeppelin live starting at 8:30 p.m. The show is 21 and over.

4Zion Canyon Music Festival

The seventh annual Zion Canyon Music Festival will be Friday and Saturday from 3 -10 p.m. both days. The event will have many live bands and performances, food, drinks, and more. Don’t miss out on great tunes with a beautiful Zion backdrop. Tickets are $5, and the event is 21 and over. Temperatures at 3 p.m. will be in the high-80s and will move to the mid-70s for both days.

5Farmers Markets

There are farmers markets all throughout the southern Utah area. With five markets in St. George, Springdale, Cedar City and Veyo, you can’t miss out on fresh produce every Saturday morning. Check our Events Calendar at http://www.suindependent.com for times and locations.

6Harry O. at George’s Corner

Saturday night, stay in town to see Harry O. live at George’s Corner in Ancestor Square. Have a bite to eat and enjoy the music starting at 8 p.m.
