The Winter Solstice is approaching, and this is the last week of the Special Olympics Utah 2015 Fall Fund Drive. Special Olympics Utah wants to offer their thanks to the generous contributors who have made donations so far. They are happy to announce they exceeded last week’s goal of $1,000, which was generously matched by the Fox Family Charitable Trust in honor of the late James “Jimmy” Fox. The grand total donated was $2,280.

Special Olympics Utah fall Fund DriveAs you’re wrapping up your holiday shopping, Special Olympics Utah hopes you will please consider making an year-end gift as part of the 2015 Fall Fund Drive and join them in changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. Your generosity enables Special Olympics Utah to provide free sports training, competitions and other programs that benefit over 1,700 athletes. Make your tax-deductible gift and you will give the gift of sport to one more athlete.

Through the gift of sports, Special Olympics Utah transforms lives. Your gift will help people with intellectual disabilities feel welcome in their communities and develop a profound belief in themselves.

“If it wasn’t for Special Olympics, I would just be sitting at home and not meeting people,” says athlete and Special Olympics Utah staff member Chris Briseno. “I have a lot more confidence and have made good friends because I’m in Special Olympics. I feel like I can do hard things.”
