The Utah Area Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association has announced its upcoming seventh annual Spring Grants Conference to be held on the campus of Southern Utah University in Cedar City March 20. This one-day conference will provide learning and networking opportunities for anyone with an interest in grants development or the grants profession. New and experienced grant professionals are invited to attend with a special invitation extended to individuals involved in K-12 and higher education, the arts, government entities, or other nonprofit organizations.

This year’s topics include multiple breakout sessions including presentations by the U.S. Census Bureau and a keynote address by Lisa Arnette on persuasive writing for grant Professionals. Arnette is a veteran fundraising professional who has committed herself to strengthening the nonprofit sector. Over the course of 25 years, she has worked in varying disciplines including higher and secondary education, arts and museums, public broadcasting, and international health. Her experience includes comprehensive fundraising programs, nonprofit volunteer and board management, and marketing and public relations.

Registration costs $75 or $50 for Grant Professionals Association members and includes breakfast and lunch. Registration closes March 12.

The Grant Professionals Association is a nonprofit membership group that builds and supports an international community of grant professionals committed to serving the greater public good by practicing the highest ethical and professional standards.
