The Travel Connection hosts expo on river cruises Nov. 7

The Travel Connection is hosting their inaugural World Wide River Cruise Exhibition on Friday, Nov. 7  from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Dixie Center in St. George. This educational event is free and will feature the top river cruise companies with itineraries around the world, as well as educational seminars, prizes, and special offers for new reservations.  

“River cruising is the fastest-growing segment [of] the travel industry. Rather than host a travel expo with a variety of vendors, The Travel Connection decided to focus on river cruises specifically,” said Celece Seegmiller, owner of The Travel Connection. “All of our travel specialists have sailed on a wide variety of river cruises, and each one offers something unique. We want to educate people to make informed decisions and plan in advance.” 

Due to the increasing popularity of river cruises, space sells out earlier each year. Companies like AMA Waterways, Avalon Waterways, Tauck, Uniworld Boutique River Cruises, and Viking River Cruises will be featured at the expo. 

“We are excited to share our knowledge about the incredible river cruising opportunities offered around the world,” Seegmiller said. 

Locally owned and operated, The Travel Connection has been in business in St. George since 2009.

We’ve spent hundreds of hours in river cruise training, and have personally sailed on various rivers in Europe and Asia with select companies,” Seegmiller said. “We consider ourselves to be the local river cruise experts, and we provide complete travel packages from the time our customers leave home until they return.
