Tiny Trains Coming To Kanab

The annual Kanab Train Show brings together kids and adults, fans and hobbyists, and buyers and sellers of trains to Kanab on Feb. 10-11, 2023. Now in its eighth year, the show is held in the new Kanab Center convention hall right across from the historic Perry Lodge. Visitors will enjoy over a dozen operating model railroad displays and two large Lego displays. Additionally, there will be model trains and Lego vendors, plus information from several area tourist railroads. These railroads and the Silver State Toy Train Operating Society have donated tickets and other items that will be used for door prizes and as auction items to help fund next year’s show. All told, there will be nearly 15,000 square feet of railroad-related things to enjoy.

Robert Lacey, conductor of the show says, “This hobby is very accessible to all people young and old, and it’s so fun to see older folks sharing stories of growing up with trains with their kids and grandkids as they see all the different things throughout the show.”

The show is open on Friday the 10th from 4-9 PM and again on Saturday the 11th from 9 AM till 4 PM. Admission is $2 for adults and free for kids. Donations will be greatly appreciated. More information can be found at www.kanabtrainshow.com.
