Utah Tech University’s Fall Spectacular To Showcase Singing Dance Groups

ST. GEORGE, Utah —Showcasing a variety of performances, the Utah Tech University Entertainment Alliance is presenting its annual Fall Spectacular.

Set to take place at 7:30 PM on Nov. 10 and 11 in Utah Tech’s M.K. Cox Performing Arts Center, the Fall Spectacular will include performances by the university’s song and dance recruitment group Fusion, the Ballroom Dance Company, Blaze Dance Team and the university’s academic Dance Program. Additionally, the showcase will feature guest performances by Hurricane Ballroom and Desert Hills High School Tempest Line.

“I am so excited that Fusion is continuing with our long-standing fall tradition and thrilled that they have such a wide variety of other groups joining them onstage this year,” Del Beatty, vice president of student affairs at Utah Tech, said. “The level of UT student talent and community talent never ceases to astound me.”

In addition to the performances, a Fall Spectacular Drawing in support of Utah Tech Entertainment Alliance student scholarships is being held. The drawing features more than $3,000 in prizes, and winners do not need to be present to win. Tickets are available here.

“These students have worked very hard in perfecting this performance,” Lexie Day, Fusion’s dance captain, said. “Come enjoy a variety of dance numbers, genres and moving vocal performances.”

Comprised of Fusion, the Ballroom Dance Company and the performing arts student club Program Bureau, Utah Tech’s Entertainment Alliance provides engaging performances to local schools, businesses and organizations in addition to touring internationally. Entertainment Alliance, featuring students from all six of the university’s academic colleges, promotes Utah Tech’s “active learning. active life.” approach to education by providing more than 100 professional-level performances each year.
