Jon Stone
Born in Texas, educated in Kentucky and refined in Louisiana, Jonathan Stone is a multi-instrumentalist musician and vocalist who has played music in almost every state in the U.S. Trained in the choir at an early age, Stone excelled musically.

JON STONE
(lead vocals, guitar, mandolin, fiddle & banjo)
Jon grew up in a musical family as his father is a blues piano player. Picking up his first instrument at 15, he was quickly sought after in the musical community of Houston, Texas. Throughout his college years in Kentucky, Jonathan began playing many times a week while learning native Appalachian music and learning to compose music.

Also in Kentucky, he began his studies of the violin. In 2008, Stone moved to southern Louisiana where he began playing with local musicians. They formed a national touring band where he was a featured singer, mandolinist, and violinist. Blending rock, gypsy, folk, blues, and jazz—the group toured the continental United States and recorded two albums of original music.

At the end of his Louisiana tenure, Stone collaborated with grammy nominated musician Cedric Watson. The two formed an old-timey harmony group featuring fiddle and banjo. These experiences have all shaped Jon’s current repertoire which he describes as multiple genres of folk music.

Currently focusing on acoustic music, Stone is known for playing mandolin, violin, guitar, and banjo (or whatever instrument he can get his hands on) at any gig—all while serenading the crowd for an intimate musical experience.

Byron Owens
Byron Owens was born in the Redstone Deserts of southern Utah with a deep fascination of sacred & indigenous folk music, the eternal sound of truth & the unstruck sound of the heart.

BYRON OWENS
(percussion, saw, melodica, baritone, ukulele,

Byron began the journey into music with years of playing hand percussion, unique con(trap)tion sets, electronic instruments, whistles, a variety of stringed instruments & what would become his true passion: the saw.

Always learning & experimenting with fellow like-minded musicians, striving to create a raw & honest performance & inviting listeners on the journey into the vast unknown.

Byron has enjoyed sharing the stage & journey with a glorious variety of musicians, of whom he will continually express love & gratitude for until time ceases.

Playing traditional styled middle eastern, Egyptian, Roma, Klezmer, Celtic, Irish, Punk & Experimental. He finds great joy in seeking the rich variety of world music & tasting it with his fingertips.

A smattering of his favorite projects have been: Ashes of Fall, Stomach Full of Butterflies, Muses of Bedlam, Thy Opiate Eye, Fig Farmers, QstandsforQ, Juana Ghani, Bonnie Mad, Orphans Cabaret, La Décolletage, Drodna, Elegant Curses & currently Stone Company.

Josh Baird
Josh is a visual artist, filmmaker, and musician living in Kanab, Utah. He is the owner of Baird Arts & Media and teaches high school art part-time.

JOSH BAIRD
(u-bass, accordion, banjo, mandolin, guitar & background vocals)
An old cassette tape entitled “Earl Scruggs & Friends” was the spark that ignited Josh’s fascination with American roots music.

That tape was followed by a deep dive into the acoustic music of Pete Seeger, Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Bill Monroe, The Seldom Scene, Hot Rize, John Duffey, Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, and the list goes on…

Josh learned music theory at a young age from his grandfather, Roger Lewis, a jazz pianist, and music teacher.

Josh is a multi-instrumentalist focussing mostly on mandolin and guitar but enjoys tinkering with the accordion, banjo, upright bass, percussion, keyboards, ukulele, and electronic synths. Learn more about Josh’s various projects at joshuabaird.com.
