Time to Uncork Your Chakra
May is a busy time at Zion Vineyards as the team moves into a new phase of the growing season. Bottling of the 2024 wines is underway, irrigation has begun, and a secondary pruning process is in place to help concentrate growth. This trimming promotes new development, improves airflow and sun exposure, and supports the vine’s ability to produce high-quality fruit.
With that work complete, the focus shifts to patience as the grapes begin to ripen and develop their flavor.
The vineyard also continues to offer events that bring people together around wine, creativity, and community.
This month features two Paint and Sip Sundays with Ash from Beyond Color Art. Sessions run from 2:30 to 5 PM, offering guests the option to follow along with guided instruction or create their own landscape.
In addition, the vineyard hosts its monthly WOGA event, a combination of wine and yoga. The May session takes place May 10 at 10 AM, beginning with an hour of yoga followed by a wine tasting. The class is led by certified instructor Shauna Fisher, who brings nine years of experience in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow, along with a focus on meditation and accessible practices for a wide range of participants.
Held at the tasting room, WOGA offers a relaxed setting to connect mind, body, and community in a way that feels both approachable and unique.
Zion Vineyards invites guests to visit, enjoy the setting, and experience its selection of award-winning wines. The vineyard is located at 5 Hidden Valley Road in Leeds, just 12 miles north of St. George off Interstate 15. No reservations are required.
Zion Vineyards is open seven days a week from noon to 6 PM. For more information, visit zionvines.com or call 435-849-8376.
