Dixie National Forest Youth Conservation CorpsThe Dixie National Forest and Southern Utah University are seeking youth applicants ages 15–21 to work on the Youth Conservation Corps this summer. Crew leaders or crew members of 5–7 person high-school-aged crews will conduct work related to natural resources and outdoor recreation in Southern Utah. Crews are located in Cedar City, Panguitch, Escalante, and St. George.

Prospective members 21 years old may apply to be Youth Conservation Corps crew leaders, and applicants 15–18 years old qualify for crew member positions. Crews will work on watershed restoration, trail clearing, recreation site maintenance, and fence building projects across the Dixie National Forest. All conservation crew project work will be physically intensive, carried out in rugged outdoor environments with varying weather conditions.

Participants will learn about the natural environment and management of Dixie National Forest while participating in hands-on projects and educational field trips throughout the summer and will be trained in first aid, CPR, defensive driving, outdoor skills, and safety.
