Zion Canyon Music Festival Has Arrived

Friday, Sept. 23 – Saturday Sept. 24th out at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater

The Southern Utah Independent is pleased to be co-presenting the Zion Canyon Music Festival after its two-year hiatus due to COVID. This amazing two-day music festival will be held the last weekend of September and it is packed full of amazing sights, sounds and smells. This is one event you will want to attend both days for the music, food, arts, crafts… and fun!

Headlining this event will be Dustbowl Revival on Friday and Southern Avenue Saturday night.

Dustbowl Revival has always been about pushing the boundaries of what American roots music can be and the GRAMMY® nominated, Southern Avenue’s marrying soul power and jam band liberation, with gospel, blues and righteous R&B, will be sure to move you.

Other performers include: Mountaintop Sound, Strange Americans, Smoke Holler, Amanda Barrick, Diggin Dirt, and The Uninvited with DJ Lex rounding out and sending it home each night.

ZCMF will be held at the O.C. Tanner Amphitheater in Springdale, Utah, those who attend the event will also be able to browse through a variety of original art, fine craft vendors as well as several local restaurant booths so be sure to plan ahead so you can experience everything the festival has to offer; including handcrafted beer from Wasatch/Squatters Brewers for those over 21.

With fun, food, and music for the whole family including a Fun Zone for the kids filled with kid friendly activities, bounce house/slide, games and more. Alcohol is not allowed in the Kid Zone, and it closes at dark.

Gates will open at 4 PM on Friday and 3 PM on Saturday, with the last performances ending at approximately 11 PM.

Parking:

There is no parking past the amphitheater gates. Paid parking spaces may be limited along Lion Blvd. We recommend taking a town shuttle to Lion Blvd.  We will provide a free shuttle service (tips for the drivers appreciated) provided by St. George Shuttle which will be making stops at the beginning of Lion Blvd at Hoodoos General Store, and the middle of Lion Blvd near the Canyon Community Center.

Important Tips & Suggestions:

  • Bring a blanket for your comfort.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle. Water stations are available.
  • It can be hot during the day, and cold at night. Wear clothing to accommodate both conditions.
  • The festival is a rain or shine event. Watch the weather and be prepared if it does rain (i.e., umbrella, raincoat, poncho)
