The Zion Forever Project, in partnership with Zion National Park and Worthington Gallery, welcomes back the Zion National Park Art Invitational November 3–8 in Zion Canyon. Fifteen accomplished landscape artists will gather for a week of programs that celebrate the park’s beauty and the role of art in supporting public lands.

This year’s featured artist is Royden Card, a southern Utah–based painter known for a vibrant color style. Card’s work appears in prestigious collections, including the Smithsonian, state of Utah museums, and prominent private collections. He also shares his expertise as an educator, having taught at BYU, Utah Tech, Utah Valley University, and the University of Utah.

The 2025 invitational expands its scope. Alongside plein air painters working on site, studio artists have been invited to present bodies of work that capture Zion from the studio, adding breadth to the exhibition and sale.

Returning artists from last year include Michelle Condrat, Bill Cramer, Roland Lee, James McGrew, Gregory Stocks, Paula Swain, and Jim Woodark. Also returning from previous years are Stephen Stauffer, Suze Woolf, Ellie Wilson, and John Cogan. New additions to the roster are Allen Brockbank, Philip Carlton, and Wade Wixom.

“We are honored to once again host the Zion National Park Art Invitational for the 12th year,” said Natalie Britt, president and CEO of the Zion Forever Project. “Last year, we saw fantastic engagement with around 500 people attending demonstrations and nearly 200 at the paint-out on Zion Lodge’s lawn. We look forward to increasing attendance this year with a new demonstration location, new artists, and our continued community of supporters.”

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy free art demonstrations, an in-park paint-out with family activities, a plein air art auction, and a private art sale. The 2025 show will spotlight an expanded collection of studio paintings alongside works created during the event.
