Star Wars Fan Celebration is happening in Anaheim, CA, as I write this (unfortunately, I couldn’t make it down) and attendees to the event so far have been graced with a plethora of pleasant surprises.

First, the approximately 1,500 diehard fans who camped outside the convention center for more than 30 hours were treated to free pizza, courtesy of “Star Wars: Episode VII” director J.J. Abrams. However, the real thrill came during this morning’s opening panel, “The Force Awakens.” Abrams and executive producer Kathleen Kennedy were on hand to field questions from fans, but the highlight of the 60 minute panel was the latest teaser trailer for “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

I’ve only watched the two-minute clip twice at this point, so I’m still sort of processing it. Rather than taking the hardcore “Star Wars” fan route and completely dissecting what I’ve just seen, I think I’ll just let it sink in for a while. I will say that this teaser is a nostalgic—and joyous—rush to the system, particularly as far as the final, affectionate moment of the clip is concerned.

“The Force Awakens” opens in your galaxy on December 18, 2015. For now, bask in the glory of this latest teaser trailer.

Adam Mast
Adam Mast's love affair with the movies began at the ripe age of 6 after his parents took him to see a little film called Jaws at a drive-in theater in Northern California. From that moment, he was hooked. Mast began his epic stint as a film critic with The Independent back in May of 1996. At the time, the publication was still in its infancy and known as the Revolution. Through the years, Mast would go on to write for Zboneman.com before co-founding the entertainment site, Cinemast.net. His love of storytelling would also lead him to aid in the creation of the film-centric 501(C)(3) nonprofit, Film and Media Alliance of Southern Utah (FMASU)--An organization primarily known for championing storytellers both locally and worldwide by way of various film-related events held throughout the year, including The Guerilla Filmmaking Challenge, Desertscape International Film Festival, HorrorFest International, and A Merry Movie Christmas. His love of cinema and the arts in general knows no bounds. Mast currently resides in St. George, UT with his lovely (and undeniably supportive) wife Tonja and their four amazing children, McKenzie, Matthew, McKian, and Mason.
