African Children's Choir performs at Calvary Chapel

The African Children’s Choir, a nonprofit humanitarian and relief organization, will perform at Calvary Chapel in St. George Sept. 2 at 7 p.m. The program features children’s songs, traditional spirituals, and Gospel favorites. The concert is free and open to the public. An offering will be taken at the performance to support African Children’s Choir programs such as education, care, and relief and development programs.

The African Children’s Choir has performed before presidents, heads of state, and most recently the Queen of England. The choir has also performed alongside artists such as Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, and Michael W. Smith.

Music for Life, the parent organization for The African Children’s Choir, works in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Sudan, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. It has educated over 52,000 children and impacted the lives of over 100,000 people through its relief and development programs during its history. Its purpose is to help create new leadership for Africa by focusing on education.
