If you’ve ever been to Peach Days in Hurricane, then you no doubt know just how special it is to the community. The Scow family are largely to thank for this annual event, since Budd Scow (Hurricane Resident) was one of the first residents to have a large peach orchard in the heart of town. Recently, Budd’s son, Jeremy Scow, and his family have fell victim to unfortunate circumstances.
Jeremy’s wife, April and her two daughters were involved in a very traumatic car accident last Friday in Phoenix, Arizona. April suffered four broken ribs, a broken leg, and foot. Their older daughter, Maggie was tossed about, but suffered no serious injury. The worst of this was taken by their youngest daughter, Tatum. At only a year old, Tatum Scow sustained so many fractures to her skull, that she is still in a medically induced coma. Her orbital socket, her nose, and many places on her skull were all broken. She experienced bleeding on her brain, and has already had one blood transfusion. The extent of the damage to her brain cannot be properly evaluated at this time because of the amount of swelling.
The family has asked for prayers at this time, but friends and extended family have noted that the Scow’s can use any and all types of financial assistance.
If you would like to donate to help assist in Tatum’s recovery and medical expenses, please follow the link to their gofundme page here: https://www.gofundme.com/medical-expenses-for-tatum
