Southern Utah Art Guild announces winners of “Only Abstraction” show

The Southern Utah Art Guild recently announce the winners of its art show “Only Abstraction.” The show features 98 pieces of art in various media from 37 artists. All pieces are for sale. The show runs through Aug. 30 at Red Cliff Gallery, which is open Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding holidays.

Best of show: “Deep Space #1” by Beth Migruder-Deliberto, acrylic

First place: “Visitation” by Mel Scott, watercolor

Second place: “Tail Feathers” by Alan Curtis, acrylic

Third place: “New York Blues” by John Mangels, acrylic

Honorable mentions

“Abstract” by  Dr. Jo Campbell, acid etching on plexiglass

“Graffiti” by Charles M. Fletcher, acrylic on paper

“Piano Line Dance” by Philip Mouton, pencil and pastel

“Rough Plaid” by Kari Frymier, house paint

“Sunfire Mountain” by Philip Moulton, pencil and pastel

“Genesis” by Alicia Buck, mixed media
