St. George Art and Studio Tour

The new St. George Art and Studio Tour is holding its first November event on Friday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 21. The tour is a free, self-guided weekend tour in celebration of the St. George arts community. As part of a countywide Art and Studio Tour season, the St. George Art and Studio Tour started in September and will run the third week of each month until June. In January, the event will be incorporated into the Arts to Zion Art and Studio Tour, which will run Jan. 14-18.

Live music will accompany various stops along the self-guided tour of St. George fine art venues, including at the St. George Art Museum, Bedard Fine Art (new location on the third floor of Ancestor Square), Authentique Fine Art Gallery, The Mission Gallery, Split Rock Fine Art Gallery, Art and Soul Gallery and Gift, Wide Angle Photography, Arts to Zion Showcase, and Twenty-Five Main Cafe.

Participants can start downtown at the St. George Art Museum and walk down Main Street, filling a punch card along the way which will offer a chance to win a piece of original fine artwork at the end of the evening. Several guests artists will be a part of the November St. George Art and Studio Tour, including Simon Winegar, Frank Huff, Roland Lee, Lonni Clarke, Ron Larson, Aimee Bonham, Georgia Johnson, Lynette Loughton, Daphne Schroth, Erric Wan-kier, and many more.

The St. George Art and Studio Tour is co-sponsored by the City of St. George Arts Commission, St. George Area Tourism, and Arts to Zion. It is held in collaboration with Arts to Zion, City of St. George Galleries, St. George Art Museum, Art on Main’s St. George Utah Gallery Stroll, Art Around the Corner, DiFiore Center for Arts and Education, Electric Theater Arts Center, Southern Utah Art Guild, and Dixie Watercolor Society.

On Friday, the St. George Art and Studio Tour includes events during both the day and evening. Participants in the day tour, which runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, will be able to glimpse artists working in their St George galleries, cooperatives and open studios. On Friday evening, activities will take place from 5-8 p.m. at Art On Main | St. George Utah Gallery Stroll.
