The Kanab Animal Assistance Program is calling on local gardeners to help support its upcoming “Root It for Paws” plant sale fundraiser.
The sale will take place May 16 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Kanab City Park North Pavilion. Organizers are seeking donations of water-wise and drought-tolerant plants, vegetable seedlings, flower seedlings, houseplants and seeds.
Community members interested in donating plants are asked to complete the online donation form available through the organization or email KanabAnimalAssistance@gmail.com with their name, plant types and quantities.
Proceeds from the fundraiser support KAAP’s mission to provide medical assistance to animals in the community. Services include cat assistance, spay and neuter and core vaccinations, as well as medical or surgical care for sick or injured owned animals.
