The “Fill Your Cup” Spiritual Wellness Retreat arrives at the United Church of Kanab/Fredonia from July 23–26, inviting the community to explore a variety of ways to refresh the mind and spirit.

This unique event is built around the idea that community connection and personal reflection are essential for well-being. Over the course of the weekend, a diverse group of local presenters will share their knowledge through a series of free individual sessions. The journey begins on Thursday, July 23, at 7 PM with an opening presentation by Christiane Turner titled “From Empty to Overflow”. Turner focuses on simple yet powerful techniques to shift a mindset in real-time, helping people interrupt draining patterns and reconnect with a sense of calm and clarity.

The schedule for Friday and Saturday is packed with opportunities for movement and meditation. Megan Claflin will lead Yin and Restorative yoga sessions designed to quiet the nervous system and invite deep release. Matthew Stewart will provide guided meditations paired with ambient music and explore the healing power of music frequencies. For those who find insight through the written word, Tony Schoenfeld will lead a session on the art of language and journaling to help participants write their own story.

Connection takes many forms throughout the retreat. Tim Clarke will lead a joyous session of Irish Set Dancing—no previous experience required—while Ria Hoyt showcases the expressive power of art. Scout Wilkins introduces “Word Trails,” a tabletop game designed to foster connection and self-discovery among friends and families.

The retreat also emphasizes the importance of trust and mindfulness. Gail Everhart will lead a “Trust Walk” and mindfulness practices aimed at improving the quality of interpersonal relationships. To round out the spiritual experience, Carmella Hoeft will guide a sound bath meditation using crystal quartz sound bowls to help manage stress and promote tranquility.

The weekend concludes on Sunday morning with a special service at 10 AM titled “The Spiritual Joy of Filling Our Cups”. Whether attending one session or the entire weekend, the retreat offers a welcoming space for anyone looking to ground themselves and find a little more ease in their journey.
