The Hurricane Half Marathon will be held at 7 a.m. Sept. 16. at the Sand Hollow Resort. The event will include a 5K race. Registration continues until Sept. 15, and approximately 300 runners are expected to participate.
From the resort, the route makes a loop along the trails that wind among the fairways on the course. This nearly 3-mile-long stretch brings runners back past the starting line and then heads east toward Sand Hollow State Park and skirts the edge of the park.
The cost is $55 for the half marathon and $30 for the 5K. Course maps or to registration can be found online. Sand Hollow Resort is located at 5625 W. Clubhouse Drive in Hurricane.
