The NOOK’s first location opened in 2012 in the Phoenix Plaza, and in 2014, an opportunity to move to The Grundy Historical Home in downtown’s Ancestor Square became available. For the owners, falling in love with this old house in the heart of the city was easy. In its new location, this quaint shop is bursting with character and charisma—something which is evident before even stepping foot inside. As you walk up, the charm mesmerizes you and creates a smile as you take it all in. Once inside, quaint woodwork, old floors, and many memories fill the senses. On any given day, you might hear customers share childhood stories of living in the home or taking piano lessons there. Many come just to take a look around, and Nancy, Heather, and the staff love sharing their chapter of history with locals or those touring the area.
