Guy
This sweet, golden boy pretty much loves doing everything: playing, eating, jumping, walking, chewing on toys and wiggling at people. Born in 2013, Guy is playful and fun-loving, but he also knows how to relax. He is very smart, catches on to training quickly and really likes to learn. He is crate trained and knows many basic cues, including sit, down, place, wait, touch, and paw. Guy is super interested in following his nose and likes to walk slowly along the Dogtown trails, taking in all the new smells. He enjoys nose work and agility training, which work both his mind and body. Guy likes to cruise around Dogtown in the car, seeing all new sights. Guy is very sweet and snuggly, and although he can be exuberant at times, he really wants to please people.
Butch
Are you exuberant and full of life? So is Butch! This happy-go-lucky guy would love an active home full of durable toys. He enjoys learning new tricks, nose work, and going on hikes. Butch likes to destroy soft items and would do best in a home with outdoor access and a sturdy fence. Butch is loyal and sweet with those he knows. With a little time and love, this guy will win over your heart! Contact our adoptions team today to learn more about Butch!
Norman
Norman is a scruffy fun-sized lap dog. Once he gets to know people, he wags his tail and jumps up and down with excitement. He really does love attention. This adorable boy also loves to take walks and do agility and show off all of his tricks. He can’t wait to find a special person who will accept him for who he is. Though he’s a bit picky with his doggy friends, Norman can get along with the right pals. If you’ve got room in your heart and house, why not bring this special boy home?
Serena
‘Good morning!’ Serena greets her caregivers every morning. She lets them know she’s excited to see them by ‘talking’ to them. This adorable little girl appreciates petting from people she knows. It takes her a little time to trust strangers, but if you’re persistent, she’ll warm right up to you. Born in 2007, Serena came to the Sanctuary from Salt Lake City. In good health, she gets along fine with all other cats. Wouldn’t you like to wake up to Serena’s soft face and warm greeting every morning?
Mina
Mina was a feral kitten rescued by an animal group in Las Vegas. Born in June 2014, she came to Best Friends and immediately ran up into the rafters with the other shy kitties. Mina has made great strides in trusting people since and will often seek out attention from strangers and friends alike. She may take a bit of time adjusting when she finds her forever home, but she is absolutely worth it. She enjoys petting sessions and long hours surveying the outside world. She gets along well with other cats and would prove to be a loving companion to a patient person.
Dash
Dash is handsome but shy. He usually keeps to himself, but he can be coaxed out with food. He gets along fine with other felines. Born in 2006, he came from a California rescue group. Dash has never had the chance to be anybody’s kitty, so it’s easy to understand why he’s leery of people. He tests positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Many people don’t realize that FIV cats can live long and healthy lives and it’s very hard for other cats to catch. Dash doesn’t know what he’s been missing. Could you be the one to teach him what love is?

Dom
Dom is the most lovable puppy-dog-eyed Beagle/Bassett Hound blend you’ll ever meet. This low-rider came to live at That BAM Place while suffering from Cherry Eye (it doesn’t look great but is mostly cosmetic) but that is being corrected and, after that, he’ll be ready for his new family. Dom has clearly lived in a home before and has pretty impressive manners (although he does get up on BAM’s sofa and is still working on the dog door). Though Dom doesn’t bay like a hound, he has a bit of separation anxiety at the adoption center when he has to be put in his kennel while other dogs are out. This would likely be different in a home environment and we do offer trial placements to make sure he is right for you and your home. Dom does not do well with young children. Although Dom gets along with the wide variety of dogs they have in residence with him (often napping with the smallest 6-pound dog), he would enjoy being an only dog as he prefers to be with people over dogs if given the choice. To find out more about Dom or arrange a meeting with him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209 by texting or calling. His adoption fee is $125.
Acacia, Chestnut, Ebony, Koa, Mahogany, Mora, Teak
These puppies are all up for adoption! They are 7 weeks old and will be placed in foster to adopt homes until they are old enough to be spayed or neutered at which point their adoption will become final. For that reason, they will not be placed out of our area. Mom is a German Shepherd and they were told dad was a brindle Boxer. To meet the puppies and see who’s who or find out more about the adoption process, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Barry
Were you widowed by a grumpy old man? Have you been looking to add another to your life since his passing? BAM has got the dog for you! In all seriousness, little Barry has good reason to be grumpy. He came to BAM with a broken pelvis from a California shelter. Since being at BAM, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies in his space, big dogs who don’t respect him an–adding insult to injury–he now has kidney stones. BAM wants the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace and love. Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs. He enjoys certain members of the BAM team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea. To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
Freddie
Freddie is an adorable 5-year-old chihuahua. Freddie came to BAM in very rough shape but, after gaining some weight, having surgery and a dental, he is now ready for his forever home. Freddie loves to snuggle with his humans and likes to play with toys. His foster mom recently learned he even likes to play fetch! He gets along well with small dogs but generally isn’t a big fan of big dogs. Freddie is housebroken with a dog door and is crate trained. He would prefer a quieter home without small children. To meet Freddie or find out how to adopt him, contact Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $125.
Butch
Butch joined the BAM family having been labeled a 17-year old dog who was likely more in need of a hospice home than typical rescue. Now that he’s in care and has been seen by their vets, they have the better assessment that he is still a senior but more likely 10–13 years old. Butch, however, has some neurological defects and impaired vision that can make him seem older. In spite of those physical issues, Butch has learned how to cope with two groups of five or more dogs in both his foster home and at their adoption center where he spends most of his days. Butch will often motor around with a funny little wobble but can see shapes or contrast well enough that he doesn’t typically bump into things. Their biggest concern for this little guy is that he ate some gravel and had to undergo surgery to have rocks removed from his system that wasn’t moving either direction. This may be something hell try to do again if unsupervised so they will be quite particular about the home he ends up in to ensure his health and well-being. To find out more about Butch, text or call Julie at (435) 773-5209. His adoption fee is $100 but Butch is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program. If you are 65 years of age or older, ask Julie about the program.
