2,000 Pounds Of Brown Trout Added To Jackson Flat Reservoir

The DNR recently stocked Jackson Flat Reservoir in Kanab, Utah with 2,000 pounds of brown trout. The fish varied in size from under a pound to three pounds.

Jackson Flat Reservoir receives fish in the winter because it’s one of the few bodies of water in the area that does not freeze over, in the winter months. Fishing at Jackson Flat Reservoir is welcomed and encouraged.

Kane County Water Conservancy District (KCWCD) would like to remind all that do come out to fish, that all Utah State laws and regulations apply to anglers at Jackson Flat Reservoir.

The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development awarded (KCWCD) funding from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant.  With this funding, (KCWCD) built new infrastructure at Jackson Flat Reservoir that includes a sand volleyball court, calisthenics workout equipment, and walking paths that access the different amenities around the reservoir.  The amenities are open and available for public use.
