The goal of TestUtah.com is to bolster the state’s daily testing capacity from 3,000 to more than 6,000 tests a day. The data will be aggregated by the state to allow public health officials to better track the spread of COVID-19.

Volunteers Needed to Take
and Help Take COVID-19
Survey and Tests
Beginning April 17 in St. George.

ST. GEORGE — To better accommodate those who want to be tested for COVID-19, TestUtah.com, a new initiative sponsored through Silicon Slopes and in partnership with state government leaders and private corporations, is providing free COVID-19 testing throughout Utah. TestUtah.com is set to launch in St. George on April 17 at noon at Red Cliffs Mall.

The testing site will be open to the general public between noon and 7 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and be conducted by local clinical screening volunteers. Healthy individuals interested in volunteering their time can fill out the online form at SlopesServes.com. Volunteer opportunities include Clinical personnel who are familiar with wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), doffing, and infectious disease processes, as well as with site logistics personnel and couriers.

“The more data we can gather, the better we can combat the virus and begin to return to normal,” said Wendy Elkington Stabler of Silicon Slopes. “This is by appointment only. Those interested will need to go to TestUtah.com and fill out the assessment. For those whom testing is recommended, the assessment will trigger an email that will provide a unique QR code that will be scanned upon the arrival to the testing center location.”

The goal of TestUtah.com is to bolster the state’s daily testing capacity from 3,000 to more than 6,000 tests a day. The data will be aggregated by the state to allow public health officials to better track the spread of COVID-19. Increased testing and tracing of the virus will allow a more effective and targeted response, helping reduce transmission and infections.

“This is an important effort in our fight to help slow the spread of COVID-19,” said St. George Mayor Jon Pike. “It will only take you a few minutes to take the assessment. By doing so you will be helping crush the curve.”

Side Note: I filled out the survey yesterday and was selected for testing even though I do not have any symptoms. I will share my experience with you as soon as my test results come back.
