On Saturday, Aug. 15, Aliante Casino, Hotel and Spa, a AAA Four Diamond resort in North Las Vegas, will hold a Bunco tournament benefiting the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation.
Doors for the tournament will open at 6 p.m., and dice will be rolled at 7 p.m. There will be specialty cocktails, Bunco juice, and silent auction items offered at the event, as well as cash prizes. Players can enter the Bunco tournament in singles, pairs, or in teams of up to 12. Players who bring a new pair of shoes in a box to benefit the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation will be entered to win an Aliante Staycation Package.
The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization based in Las Vegas, provides new shoes to disadvantaged children through age 21. However, they don’t just drop off random pairs of shoes; they measure children’s feet to ensure proper fit, pairing them one-on-one with a community volunteer who takes a special interest and walks the youth through the process, making the child the center of attention and empowering him or her with choice by allowing the opportunity to select any pair of shoes from a large inventory of high-quality athletic shoes—just like the ones their friends at school are wearing. These children are referred by schools, social service agencies, and other nonprofit organizations dedicated to assisting children in need. The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation serves over 10,000 at-risk children in southern Nevada annually.
Aliante Casino, Hotel, and Spa is situated on over 40 pristine acres within the Aliante master-planned community at Aliante Parkway and Interstate 215.
