This month, So U Comedy Theater features a celebration of laughter, community, and just the right amount of chaos. With a milestone birthday show, a special guest appearance, and the launch of a brand-new fundraising initiative, the coming weeks promise unforgettable nights for improv fans of all ages.
The celebration begins March 7th with So U’s TENTH Birthday Show! This special night will feature a guest appearance by founder Chewi, returning to the stage for a reunion performance fans won’t want to miss. Expect a high-energy mix of classic short-form games, audience participation, and a few surprises as past and present cast members come together. Whether you’ve followed So U since the early days of Improv Dixie or it’s your first time, celebrate in style with some laughs.

March isn’t just about looking back—it’s also about giving back. So U has partnered with The Dove Center for the first-ever Dare To Care fundraiser. Throughout the month, turning fundraising into a full-blown comedic spectacle, cast members will take on increasingly outrageous dares as donation milestones are reached. Week one – Polar Plunge! The more funds raised, the more people in the pool! Public dance-offs in questionable costumes and permanent decisions involving tattoo ink are possible. Each dare will be documented and shared on social media so supporters can watch the chaos unfold in real time. By blending humor with heart, the initiative aims to raise funds and spirits for the Dove Center and its cause. Donations can be made through Venmo, PayPal, and in person on March 7th and 21st.
Of course, audiences can still expect the signature So U experience at every show: scenes built from audience suggestions, fast-paced games, and spontaneous moments that can never be repeated. Short-form improv delivers quick hits of comedy where anything can happen—and usually does. If you need a reason to laugh, give back, and maybe witness a performer make a wildly questionable life choice onstage (or in freezing water), March at So U Comedy Theater delivers.
Shows take place on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays upstairs at the Electric Theater Center in St. George, with a Family Friendly show at 7:00 pm and the Uncensored show at 9:00 pm for those who prefer their comedy a little spicier. Tickets are available online or at the door, with discounts offered.
