The community is invited to gather at the Jackson Flat Reservoir this July 24 for an evening filled with family fun, entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display. This Pioneer Day celebration offers a wonderful opportunity to honor the area’s heritage while enjoying the spirit of community fellowship.
The festivities begin at 4 PM with a variety of activities designed for all ages. Children and adults alike can enjoy a giant slip-n-slide, barrel train rides, and a cornhole tournament. For those looking to capture a memory of the day, there will be pioneer-themed photo opportunities available throughout the afternoon.
From 5 to 6 PM, a community dinner will be served. Attendees can enjoy a classic summer menu of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and ice cream treats to keep cool. It is the perfect time to relax and visit with neighbors before the evening entertainment begins.
The stage will come alive starting at 6:30 PM with live music from two popular Southern Utah acts. The Chris Paul Band will kick things off with their signature blend of country and classic favorites. Following them at 8:30 PM, Casey Lofthouse will take the stage. Known for his traditional country sound and engaging performances, Lofthouse is a staple of the Southern Utah music scene.
The celebration will also include karaoke and open mic sessions for those feeling brave enough to share their own talents. As the sun sets, the music and dancing will continue at the pavilion until the night concludes with a grand fireworks display after dark.
