Canyon Creek Women’s Crisis Center wants you to dance the night away at their Dance at the Hangar fundraiser event June 23 from 6 to 11 p.m. at the Leavitt Hangar on 2275 Kitty Hawk Dr.

Live bands Spilbeedog, Fenswick Way, and the Jim Sevy Trio will perform throughout the night for dancers. Live dance instruction for swing and line dancing will also take place throughout the evening.

“Get your dancing shoes on, because it’s almost here,” said Tessa Douglas, fundraising chair and CCWCC board member. “We hope to raise at least $2,000, and your support could make the difference.”

Spilbeedog, a ’70s and ’80s rock cover band, will play from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fenswick Way will rock out with ’90s music from 8 to 9:30 p.m. and the Jim Sevy Trio Band will finish off the night with a variety of music. Each of these bands has generously devoted its time to the CCWCC cause. In addition, a few dance instructors will make appearances in between acts to teach swing dancing, a country line dance, and other dances.

Concessions will be available, and all ticket and concession proceeds will go towards Canyon Creek Women Crisis Center. Tickets cost $6 per person, $10 per couple, and $25 per family. Tickets can be purchased online at ccwcc.org/dance or at the door. Tickets are good for the entire night. All ages and community members are invited to the event.
