Dixie Poets holds eighth Youth Poetry ContestDixie Poets’ eighth Youth Poetry Contest is open to all students in grades 1–12 living within the Washington County School District area. The theme for this year’s entries is “My World.” Poems may be free verse or rhymed and must be original, unpublished, and limited to 24 lines. The submission deadline is Oct. 13 at midnight. Submissions should be sent to highability@washk12.org. There are no entry fees, and winners will receive cash prizes. Winners will read their entries Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. at the St. George Art Museum.
