If you are looking for the perfect family-friendly way to wrap up your summer, look no further than the Moonwalk 5K. Join Cedar City Events for a night of magic under the full moon where the focus is less on the finish line and more on dancing, laughing, and making memories with your favorite people. Participants will have the chance to walk or race through the beautiful East Bench trail system while decked out in their best glow-in-the-dark gear.
The festivities kick off at 7:30 PM in the parking lot of the LDS Church on Greens Lake Drive. Before the race even begins, you can enjoy a live band, free mocktails, and plenty of yard games. There will also be a climbing wall, face painting, and a variety of glow-in-the-dark swag to help you shine. The race itself begins at 9:30 PM and is open to everyone from age 8 to 100 plus. You will have an hour and a half to complete the course, with plenty of extra fun waiting for you along the way.
Whether you decide to stroll with your loved ones or race for a top time, the celebration continues at the finish line with an out-of-this-world food selection and a foam party. Solo registration is $25 for walkers and $30 for timed runners, who will be eligible for awards based on their age group. Families and teams of up to six can also take advantage of a team discount.
