Spartacussouthern utah adoptable pets Spartacus

Have you seen the movie Up? Spartacus is like the old man version of Dug. This lovely gentleman was born in 2008 and gets along with other dogs. Handsome and easygoing, he’d be the perfect TV watching partner. But he’d be just as happy to go on a leisurely stroll in the park as he would to cuddle on the couch with you. Spartacus came to Best Friends from a shelter in New Mexico and is looking for a comfortable place to call home.

PilsnerPilsner

Pilsner couldn’t be more excited about life. He’s a playful and energetic guy who likes to stay active and learn new things. Born in 2014, his tail is always wagging and his body is always wiggling. He loves to play fetch with his football, to go for walks and to be read to. Most of all he loves to be by his person’s side. Pilsner does have some sensitivity when it comes to handling, especially around his feet and his mouth. He’s also a bit picky with his doggie friends and doesn’t play well with small dogs. He’d be the perfect companion for an active person seeking an adventure partner.

Timbersouthern utah adoptable pets Timber

Timber had a rough start in life. He was found as a stray in Salt Lake City. Because of his early experiences, he is shy and defensive with strangers. It’s best for new people to meet him on a walk outside of his room. Timber will warm up. He just needs people to be patient and understanding with him. Once he comes around, he is very sweet and affectionate and will form a strong, loving bond with people he trusts. Born in 2013, Timber gets along great with other dogs and would be perfectly happy with doggie companions in a home. Timber will take some time to come around, but his friendship is well worth it.

Wrinklessouthern utah adoptable pets Wrinkles

Not much rattles Wrinkles. He’s about as easy-going as they get. But he’s been through a lot. First, he was a Hurricane Katrina survivor. Then off to rescue group. Now he’s at Best Friends. And through it all, he remains the same relaxed, roll-with-the-punches kind of cat. Born in 2005, he gets along great with other kitties. He could be an only cat or part of a gang, he’s fine either way. He likes meeting new people. He’s not exactly a lap cat, but he will sit for a spell next to you for a little chat and some love. He’d be a great friend to watch TV with. Really, that’s all it would take to make him the happiest cat in the world. Wouldn’t an uncomplicated cat like him make you happy? This calm cat really deserves to settle down as somebody’s best friend!

Lil Babysouthern utah adoptable pets Lil Baby

A hit-and-run, a bad leg, a neurological condition, and losing the one person who seemed to love her even after her injuries Lil Baby has seen it all. A kind person had found her already broken and sad, but they lifted her spirits. But when they moved into a new, smaller apartment, Lil Baby couldn’t go.No wonder this poor thing is now so shy around people. She needs a super-compassionate person, preferably one with a few cats already, to help ease her out of her lonely little world. Right now, Lil Baby is much more comfortable around other cats. That’s about the only time she feels safe enough to let her hair down. If you think you might be able to give Lil Baby the time she needs to adjust, and not lose faith in her, please consider adopting this shy girl today.

Hermessouthern utah adoptable pets Hermes

Hermes is an absolutely adorable long-haired orange tabby, who falls in love easily. A little shy at first, once you pet his soft fur, he’ll be your best friend forever. Hermes loves to be touched and welcomes belly rubs. He’s also a playful youngster, who can’t resist catnip or laser light toys. And he likes other cats, too. Born in 2011, Hermes was found as a stray. His back end is paralyzed, so the poor kitty has to have his bladder expressed and has no control over when or where he goes. But his special needs don’t dampen his strong spirit or stop him from being a very friendly, sweet boy. Hermes would be so grateful for a home and someone special to love. Could you give him the chance to be your beloved kitty?

Sabrinasouthern utah adoptable pets Sabrina

After being hit by a car, little Sabrina spent 8 weeks in a cast while her bones healed. She’s 10 years old but loves to adventure by car, trail, or river. Snuggles are her favorite, but she’s not a couch potato. Sabrina lives with several big dogs and enjoys their company. Never once have they heard her bark. Sabrina would be great in any home but, even with her cast off, she will still need tender care until her bones are strong. Sabrina does require daily medication for an enlarged heart but nothing stops this little dog from living life to its fullest. They are still working on house training, but the process is slow due to her broken bones. Sabrina sleeps through the night without urinating and does not urinate on the carpet but will on tile. Her cast may be at fault, and now with it removed, she’ll be more agile and move more easily. To meet Sabrina or find out more about her, contact Andrea or A.J. at (612) 756-2374. Sabrina’s adoption fee is $100 and she is also eligible for their Seniors Helping Seniors Program.
