Live United LIVE, the day-long free music festival on Oct. 10, recently announced their final lineup of performers for this spectacular event benefiting United Way Dixie. The release of the lineup comes not long after the recent announcement by Live United LIVE program director Jeffrey Hall that an agreement was reached with Camping World of St. George to become the title sponsor of the festival. Thanks to the support of Camping World, United Way Dixie will be able to present an all-star roster of entertainment, featuring British pop icon Howard Jones as the headlining act.

Jones will be preceded onstage by several national, regional, and local entertainers. The Independent had previously reported that Utah country music favorite Eric Dodge and the popular John Houston Gospel Choir would be joined by Celtic Americana rock band Swagger and bluegrass stalwarts Marty Warburton and the Home Girls. Filling out the day, several other acts have been added to the roster.

Performers from Tuacahn Center for the Arts will highlight current productions. The Dixie State University Jazz Trio will also perform. Local alternative band Wirelefant will join Wooden Tantrum, a Celtic family band based out of St. George that won the adult category of the 2015 Dixie’s Got Talent contest. Rounding out the day will be southern Utah duos Sala & the Luna-tics and Beans & Wheels, in addition to local singer-songwriters Josh Warburton and Steven Swift.

Besides the great music, Live United LIVE will also have food and drink vendors, with 100 percent of the event proceeds directed to the 17 nonprofit organizations supported by United Way Dixie. Marianne Hamilton, the Live United LIVE media and public relations manager, told The Independent that the proceeds were split evenly between the organizations.

“Everybody gets an equal piece of the pie,” Hamilton said. “All of the money that United Way raises goes back out to the charities. All operating costs are raised through fundraising. Anything that comes in through donations goes right back out into the community.”
