Red Rocktoberfest and Chalk it Up Return to Downtown Kanab

Opening This Weekend! October 12-15, 2022

Red Rocktoberfest with Chalk it Up Chalk Art Festival starting on October 12 with registration at 4 PM on the Terrace at the Kanab Center. 10 N 100 E, Kanab, Utah.

The Chris Paul Band will perform at 5 PM, and artists will be able to start working on sidewalks in and around the Kanab Center and along the Canyon-to-Canyon route from Willow Canyon to Canyons Resort (Sego).

October 13th & 14th Chalk it Up continues with registration from 10 AM to 6 PM with artists working on their assigned sections.

October 15th Chalk Art continues until the Festival starts at Noon and judging begins. Prizes will be given during the Entertainment and include nearly $1,500 thanks to our generous sponsors over the last two years.

Honey’s Marketplace will have a virtual Montezuma Ride starting at Noon; Lumber Plus will be participating along with Willow Canyon, Brown Box, and other businesses all the way to Kanab Soda Fountain at the West end of Center Street.

Entertainment will begin at 1 PM with W Duo, Red Rock blue grass at 2:30, Red Rock dance at 3 PM and the Chris Paul Band from 4 to 6 PM, all on the Terrace stage at the Kanab Center.

Festival vendors will open starting at Noon on the lawn and West parking lot of the Kanab Center and be open until 6 PM. Sego will be back this year with their Beer Garden and Giff’s Barbeque, Love Me Foods, and Clucking it Up will be joined by numerous other food and craft vendors. Longhorn Hideout will be providing hayrides.

Local restaurants will offer Oktoberfest-themed specials during and after the festival, including Sego, Wild Thyme, Iron Horse, and more!

RedRoctoberfest is presented by Kanab City’s Kanab Arts Board and is only possible because of the generous support of the Kane County Office of tourism, Garkane, Honey’s Glazier’s, Big Al’s, Brown Box, Bugsy’s, Mouqi Cave, Zion Stay’s, Sherpa’s, Academy Mortgage, Kanab Tour Co and J&J RV Park.
