Southern Utah University and The Women Tech Council will host SheTech Explorer Day May 8 from 9:45 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sharwan Smith Student Center. The event will provide more than 125 high school girls hands-on experience and mentoring from regional and national tech companies through activities like robotics, coding, 3D printing, and other activities based on science, technology, engineering, and math.
SheTech Explorer Day event schedule
9:45–10 a.m.: Welcome and kick-off, all girls seated together
10–11:30 a.m.: Girls divide into groups and attend workshops with tech mentors
11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.: Girls conduct technology and science experiments and activities
12:30–3 p.m.: Keynote and challenge for girls to work with mentors to solve a real-world problem and compete for prizes
The Sharwan Smith Student Center is located at 351 W 200 S in Cedar City.
