Barley

Barley is an outgoing little fluff ball who loves to go on adventures. His short little legs and his age have never held him back! He’s always up for romping around, rolling on his back, and simply having a grand ol’ time. Barley enjoys the company of his people friends and does very well after some relationship building. He would need his potential new family to come to meet him at Dogtown to make sure it is a good fit. A couple of his all-time favorite things to do are playing fetch with a rotation of squeaky toys and get pets when he’s comfortable and ready.

Aurora

Smart, affectionate, and energetic, Aurora’s always ready to go. She loves long hikes, toys, and wrestling with her roommates at the Sanctuary. Because she’s so intelligent and eager, Aurora picks up new tricks very easily. After all the activity, she’s happy to cuddle up for a nap on the couch, but she’ll need an active, on-the-go type of home. If that home happens to have other dogs she can play with, that’s even better. This gorgeous girl was born in 2014, and can’t wait to find a place and a person to call her own.

Hannah

Hannah is a sweet silly girl who loves the company of her dog and human friends here at the sanctuary. She gets excited every time she meets a new person and will happily accompany you for walks or be happy to just lounge about enjoying the finer things in life – like snacks and naps.

Alafairsouthern utah adoptable pets Alafair

Alafair is a sweet cat with a gorgeous coat. She loves rubbing against and hanging out with her feline friends, but she is less openly affectionate toward people. She’s shy but curious and loves playing with wand toys. She prefers that humans not touch her, but she may come out of her shell in a loving home with cat friends. Can you give this sweet girl the home she needs to grow?

Kodasouthern utah adoptable pets Koda

Sweet Koda is a quirky kitty at times, but that’s what makes him interesting. Koda definitely knows what he likes, and what makes him a bit unsure. He loves wand toys, treats, running through tunnels, sitting on shoulders, and giving hugs. He is a bit unsettled by loud noises and significant changes in his environment or his routine. He thrives when he is shown lots of affection and interaction, so a home where his owner can provide that to him would be a dream come true for this great boy. Koda is a smart, alert, curious cat and would be a perfect companion for someone willing to show him on a daily basis just how wonderful he is.

Royalty

Royalty loves other cats and, in time, people as well. She is one of the shyer cats at Best Friends, but she is a big fan of gentle introverts who want to gaze at her beautiful eyes and give her a nice slow blink (kitty kisses). She loves chasing wand toys and playing with her other cat friends. She is a big fan of treats and is getting much more comfortable with people!

Is she named Royalty for her beauty, the adoration of other cats, or the grandiose feelings she inspires in volunteers who come to see her? Meet her for yourself, and you might decide that it’s all the above. You might also decide that she is the special cat who you will want to bring home to your family of people and cats alike.

Nikesouthern utah adoptable pets Nike

Nike is a 1 ½-year-old Basenji mix, we think, due to her looks and lack of barking. She came to us with her two babies, Crash and Crush. She loves to play with them and run around. She’s not much of a cuddler, but she appreciates pets and likes attention. She would be good in a home with other dogs, children, or alone.

Sage

Sage is a shepherd mix and is approximately 1.5–2 years old. Sage is the most loving, sweetest girl. She takes her time to trust but, once she does, she’s the best!  She is able to jump fences, so she really needs a secure yard or a plan to keep her safe when her owners are away. She is a great loving dog, who bonds quickly to her people, and is loyal to a fault. She LOVES water, and hiking, and being able to run. She would make a good hiking, running, or even biking buddy!

Nova

Nova is a 1-year-old Husky/Malamute mix. She came to us pregnant, and has since successfully delivered and weaned 7 beautiful puppies! All of her puppies have found their furever homes, and now it’s her turn! Nova is super sweet and playful. She’s currently in a foster home with two other dogs and a cat and doing wonderfully.

Aphrodite

This beautiful polydactyl cat is befitting of her name, Aphrodite. She has been a wonderful mother to her six kittens born 8/21/20. Be careful when you come to meet her. She has a special power of love and you will find it difficult to not fall under her spell. Aphrodite is now ready to live a life worthy of a goddess. And she’s house-trained.

Addie

Addie is ready to find a home where she will be loved and cared for. She’s been a good mama and is ready to be on her own now. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone. Make arrangements to come in and meet beautiful Addie today!

Stella

This stellar cat is looking for her furever home. Stella is a little shy at first but will warm up quickly. She likes to chase toys and bird watch. She is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Buddy

Lab-Heeler-Border Collie mix? The perfect blend! Very sweet and well socialized. Buddy loves to cuddle and play with the smaller puppies. He would probably be great with other dogs and kids too (maybe even cats).

Buddy will be available locally only as a foster to adopt after he has his second round of puppy shots (probably the beginning of February). Meanwhile, we are accepting applications. Once he has been neutered, the adoption can be finalized and Buddy will be all yours forever and ever!

If you are interested in checking out this little love bug, call or text Julie at (435) 773-5209. Tuesday–Saturday 9am–5pm to arrange a meeting at That BAM Place.

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!

Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).

Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.

Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.

To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Acesouthern utah adoptable pets ACE

Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly!

Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates.

Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.

To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.
