Rusty

You will never meet a dog quite like Rusty. He is soft and cuddly, but don’t ever let him hear you say that because when you first meet him he will pretend not to like you and act as tough as he can. In reality, he is a very insecure dog who puts on a front to keep people away. It takes time, but once you gain his trust he becomes sweet and full of personality.
He will always have a strong personality and think he is the king of the castle so he would need someone with very good dog skills and who can understand him. It is a long process, but so worth the journey.

He can live with other dogs but is very selective about who he shares his home with and would likely have to live in a managed home of some kind. Don’t let all this fool you because beneath his tough-guy exterior lies a sweet, silly little guy who, once he lets his guard down, would make a great companion. He does require relationship building and multiple visits so he would need a patient and understanding person.

Edwardosouthern utah adoptable pets Edwardo

Edwardo’s ears try really hard to stand up, but they flop over adorably at the top. Eddy is perfect on a leash and loves being outside and sniffing around. He loves nap time in his crate and loves to show off all the cool tricks he knows. Born in 2014, Eddy is an energetic guy who would do best in an active home.

Cholula

A giant canvas of spots and silliness and of course with a name like Cholula, a little bit of spice underneath it all. Cholula was a ridiculously adorable puppy at Best Friends who grew into a ridiculously handsome boy. He can be a little shy with new people and because of his size and nervousness he wasn’t a good fit for the home he was in, but in the right home he would be an endless source of entertainment and fun.

He still has the energy of a young dog so he would do best in an active home. He can be anxious around other dogs so would need to have an experienced owner who would be willing to supervise him until he is comfortable. Once he is settled though he is a giant goofball and just wants to run, play with his dog friends and hang out with his people. One look at him and you can tell he is truly one of a kind so if he is the kind for you he would love to be your one!

Snickers

Snickers used to be very shy and unsure of people, but with the unconditional love he’s received from his caregivers and volunteers, he’s turned into an affectionate cat! He also gets along quite well with his feline roommates. All he needs now is a loving forever home to make his transformation complete.

Kodasouthern utah adoptable pets Koda

Sweet Koda is a quirky kitty at times, but that’s what makes him interesting. Koda definitely knows what he likes, and what makes him a bit unsure. He loves wand toys, treats, running through tunnels, sitting on shoulders, and giving hugs. He is a bit unsettled by loud noises and significant changes in his environment or his routine. He thrives when he is shown lots of affection and interaction, so a home where his owner can provide that to him would be a dream come true for this great boy. Koda is a smart, alert, curious cat and would be a perfect companion for someone willing to show him on a daily basis just how wonderful he is.

Drake

Drake is as handsome and sweet as they come. He has the most striking markings and coloring, he will also greet you at the door to say hello! He is an easy-going guy who would love to be your companion, he has house experience, loves laps, and enjoys cat friends.

RSQ Dogs+ is Southern Utah’s newest nonprofit animal rescue group. It is an all-volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of animals in underserved, rural areas of Washington County. Murphy

Murphy is a 10 week old Great Pyrenees puppy. He is full of puppy personality and loves to play with other dogs. He also loves cuddling and will fall asleep in your arms. He is currently working on potty training and doing really well. Murphy would be good in a home with other dogs, cats, children, or alone.

Phoenix

Phoenix is the funniest and sweetest girl. She can be standoffish at first but warms up in minutes. She has pretty bad hip dysplasia but that doesn’t slow her down. She plays with the other dogs in the house from sun up to sundown. She can go up and down the stairs and uses a dog door pretty well. She is definitely a velcro dog but does fine when left alone. She is still a puppy so she does try to get into things. Overall, she is really a great dog. She is potty trained, does well in a crate, good with dogs and people, and gets around really well on her own. She definitely comes with challenges due to her hips but she is a great dog and would be a good fit with almost any kind of family.

Indigo

Indigo is a beautiful, young (approximately 1-year-old), Border Collie/Aussie who loves to play fetch with a ball or a toy and hasn’t met a dog or a person he doesn’t like. He’s a great walker and would be a terrific hiking companion or active family member. He also loves going for runs. He’s still young and will need some guidance on learning how to be the best boy he can be!

Elvis

You can’t help falling in love with Elvis. He is meant to be in a loving home. Take his paw. Take his whole life too. He’s a little shy but with patience, he will fall in love with you. Elvis is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Presley

It’s now or never. Come adopt him now. Presley won’t be available for long. Tomorrow may be too late. The time is here to take this adorable cat home. He will capture your heart with his blue eyes. He’s a little shy but with time he will love you tender and all his dreams of a loving home will come true. Presley is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Tangerine

This sweet young cat is longing for someone to love and play with her. Tangerine enjoys head scratches and chasing her toys. She’s a curious cat who will give you lots of entertainment. All she asks for is a loving home. Tangerine is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Limasouthern utah adoptable pets Lima1

Lima is a gentle calm girl looking for a very calm home. She’s beautiful and sweet and will do best as an only pet with no children. She loves to sleep in her cubbies and adores pets and affection from her human. She is 2 years old.

Felix

He is a VERY loving guy, towards people, but does not do well with other cats.  Felix can be a little shy until he gets to know you.  After he warms up, he enjoys being petted and snuggled. He loves chasing the laser and playing with wand toys. His adoption fee is $40.

Kiki

9-year-old Kiki has had quite a few changes in her life. Her “person” moved into a new home and was not home as much. Her lifelong bonded dogs were given up for adoption leaving Kiki alone. Her adoption fee is the special senior rate of $20.

Andie

Andie enjoys going on walks and loves playing tug of war with everyone, two- and four-legged alike. She’s spayed, crate trained, up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and she’s ready to meet her new forever family! She would love to be included in an active family who could run and hike with her. Although Andie likes kids and other animals, she may be too rough for little ones.

If you are interested in meeting Andie, visit that BAM Place between 9–5pm Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting.

Bobby

Who leaves their beautiful boy at doggy daycare forever? Well, someone did and now we have Bobby and he’s more than ready to find a new family that won’t ever abandon him again.

Bobby is housebroken, neutered and up to date with his vaccinations. Plus, he’s great with other dogs! He loves long walks and car rides and playing tug-of-war and fetch (he does need a ball larger than a tennis ball or he tries to swallow it). Wait until you see him chase his tail, even crazier, his own leg! He’s such a fun boy!

If you are interested in meeting Bobby, visit that BAM Place between 9–5pm Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting.

Dee Dee

Dee Dee is a precious little senior long-haired dachshund who had to be shaved before she could travel to BAM because she was so matted. She was lumpy, bumpy, a little warty, and had some pretty nasty teeth but, after a snip here, a nip there, and a few tugs everywhere, she’s looking and feeling so much better!!! She’s looking forward to getting her stitches out on March 3rd and moving into her forever home.

Dee Dee has glaucoma which will require ongoing treatment (eye drops) and she may be a bit hard of hearing, but she has the sweetest temperament and loves to walk. She isn’t really a lap dog … yet … but she does like to be near her people and will follow you everywhere

If you would like to meet this delightful girl, visit that BAM Place between 9–5pm Tuesday through Saturday or submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting. To submit an application, click here.

Titan and Keeva

Meet this bonded pair: Titan (95 lb Male, 6 yrs) and Keeva (60 lb Female, 5 yrs). Keeva was 8 wks old when she met her big brother and they are tightly bonded. They were their mom and dad’s only children and did everything together: mountain camping, hiking, car rides, playing in streams, strolling the neighborhood. They are primarily house pets but obviously love being active in the outdoors and using their doggy door to explore the yard.

The family has now expanded with an infant and a toddler. Managing two full-time jobs and the babies has added stress and put a strain on the time and care mom and dad can spend with them. The dogs feel the difference and are longing for their pre-baby life back. Mom and Dad’s hearts are broken but feel it is only fair to find the perfect, active family for these two to get their show back on the road.

With the proper introduction, they are good with children and all animals, including cats. If children, 10 or older would be preferable so these dogs can get the attention they need. Huskies need to be part of the pack. They are not happy to be an outdoor pet that is not part of the family. With a little daily exercise and a home of their own, they make absolutely wonderful pets.

To learn more, please call Debbie at 858-531-8919. PLEASE, DO NOT CONTACT BECAUSE ANIMALS MATTER – THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING ONLY – THANK YOU
