Ghostridersouthern utah adoptable pets Ghostrider

Ghostrider is a big hunk of a dog. But while he’s big and tough-looking, he is a big softy at heart. He loves people and is friendly and sweet with every person he meets. Ghostrider’s favorite activities include hanging out in the sun with his toys or lounging around inside with his humans, being a big couch potato. He is a master at cuddling, loves car rides, walks, and going out for adventures.

On his leash, he is a perfect gentleman that walks beautifully but will pull when he sees wildlife, so he’ll need a strong person to walk him or live in an environment without lots of wildlife. At home, he’ll need a yard with a secure fence. Although he can have doggie friends, he would do best as the king of a castle with no other animals. Once you meet him, you will only have eyes for him anyway!

Zola

Zola is happy to do most anything for a treat! She offers a quick sit for her leash and loves going on hikes and can go all day! She is happy with other dogs or as a single dog but would prefer a home with adults who love to walk/hike and train her to do new tricks and give lots of rubs on her sides!

Alicesouthern utah adoptable pets Alice

Alice is a sweet, smart girl who loves to hang out with her people. She loves toys, especially squeaky balls and Nylabones, and playing tug and fetch. She also enjoys going for walks and showing off on the agility course. On car rides Alice prefers to ride in the passenger seat and paws at the driver for petting the entire time, but she can also ride nicely in the backseat if you’d prefer. She is very food motivated and relishes solving food puzzles and working on frozen Kongs. She would love to find a gentle person who will earn her trust and build her confidence. Alice can be picky with her dog friends and would need to meet any dogs before going home with them or be the only dog in her new home. Alice has come a long way from when she first arrived in Dogtown several years ago and was nervous about meeting new people. She now meets people with confidence, although she should meet everyone in the family before she goes home. Once Alice trusts a person she’s super snuggly and affectionate, and she has a generous sponsor who will pay her adoption fee.

Benny

Oh Benny!! This lovable, playful, energetic, silly boy would make the perfect addition to your home. He loves people and wants nothing more than to be around his human companions. He gets along great with his feline roommates and in fact, would love some play buddies. Benny was born in 2013 with Manx syndrome which causes him to be incontinent. He gets expressed twice a day and is on medication to help. I know taking on an incontinent cat is a huge undertaking and scary if you do not know how to do that but we will teach you!!! It will take a special person to be able to care for this sweet soul and he’s hoping that will be you.

Bakari

Bakari is friendly with people. He enjoys playing with a wand toy and likes to be petted. Born in 2010, he came from a rescue group in Arizona. He has Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but is otherwise healthy. He would definitely prefer to be the only cat in a home as he has been known to get in minor arguments with some of his roommates from time to time. He would like to go to a home where he can show his true colors.

Brownie

Brownie mostly stays away from people. He was born around 2007 and came from a hoarding situation, so he hasn’t been properly socialized. He’s even intimidated by other cats, preferring the company of shy, sweet females who don’t challenge him. Although he’s so shy, Brownie has the potential to like people. He would do well in a home where he was given the time, space and patience to come out of his shell.

Lady Marmalade

Lady Marmalade and her twin Tangerine are adorable young sisters. They enjoy playing and cuddling together. They are a little shy but enjoy chin scratches. Lady Marmalade is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats (especially her twin, Tangerine) or alone.

Tangerine

This sweet young cat is longing for someone to love and play with her. Tangerine enjoys head scratches and chasing her toys. She’s a curious cat who will give you lots of entertainment. All she asks for is a loving home. Her twin Lady Marmalade would make a great companion for her too. Elsa, Jubilee, and Misha

MEET THE PUPPIES

  • Tiny Elsa and Misha came to us from the reservation and we have no idea what sort of girl she’ll grow up to be. All we know is she’s adorable now and very well socialized!
  • Meet baby Jubilee! She’s only about 2-1/2 months old and cute as a button! She may be a mix between border collie and pit bull but no one knows for sure. She already knows how to use the doggie door and is learning to go outside to potty! Jubilee loves playing with kids, toys, other dogs and even cats! Her favorite thing to do, however, is snuggle. She’s smart and lovable and will soon be learning lots of tricks and how to walk on a leash.

These puppies are available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. Once she has been spayed, the adoption can be finalized and she will be yours forever and ever!

Jacob

Poor little Jacob was hit by a car and ended up losing a large chunk of his tail which feels better and is now a cute little nub. He’s a shy, sweet boy who only wants someone he can love and trust to keep him safe. We aren’t sure what breeds he has in him but there’s probably a bunch! He’s long and lean with legs like a basset hound but his head is more like a terrier that’s what we at BAM call a one-of-a-kind perfect blend!

Acesouthern utah adoptable pets ACE

Ace is a happy, big old pup who has no idea he’s ever been injured, has recently had major surgery, and definitely doesn’t’ know that he’s supposed to have been calm and quiet while recuperating. His vet is amazed at just how well he has done so quickly!

Ace has a lot of energy and will need an active home. He would love to have a nice big yard to play in, along with regular and increasing exercise to strengthen his leg. In a few months, he’ll likely want to go on hikes and long walks. In the meantime, he loves affection and he loves to play! If he has toys and balls, he can entertain himself for long periods of time. He’d love you to throw the ball, but if you’re not available, he’s perfectly capable of throwing it for himself!! He needs to learn some manners but he is a bright boy and will learn quickly. He does tend to be toy possessive so some supervision will be needed with his doggy playmates.

Ace is fully vaccinated, neutered, microchipped, and ready to go to his forever home today!!! He will need an adopter with patience and one who is willing to care for him if his leg causes him issues in the future.

To find out more about Ace, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Barrysouther utah adoptable pets BARRY

Barry is not a lap dog (unless he decides he wants to be). Instead, he is a grumpy boy who came to us with a broken pelvis which still causes him pain. In the year he’s been with us, Barry also suffered seizures and kidney stones. He’s on a special diet and medication for all of these things, but he’s still a grump. And we all still love him!

Since being in our care, the poor guy has had to deal with puppies and big dogs who don’t understand why he doesn’t want to roughhouse. He does get along with dogs who aren’t in his face and likes to fetch a ball as long as you don’t try to take it back from him (Barry’s rules).

Ornery as he is, Barry is kind of our mascot and we want the old guy to catch a break and live out the remainder of his life with someone he can find solace in.

Barry loves to rub his back on the floor and wiggle and loves to have belly rubs by a person of his choosing. He enjoys certain members of our team while others simply aren’t his cup of tea.

To find out more about Barry, meet him and see if he’s a match for you, text, or call Julie at (435) 773-5209.

Aayla

Sweetheart Aayla is a six-year-old bulldog mix who loves being with people, riding in the car, going on walks, and being the center of attention. She is housebroken and kennel trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.

Aayla has been an only dog and may do best in a home without other pets. Then again, she may be fine with other animals. In any case, she should be introduced to any potential siblings prior to adoption.

Titan and Keeva

Meet this bonded pair: Titan (95 lb Male, 6 yrs) and Keeva (60 lb Female, 5 yrs). Keeva was 8 wks old when she met her big brother and they are tightly bonded. They were their mom and dad’s only children and did everything together: mountain camping, hiking, car rides, playing in streams, strolling the neighborhood. They are primarily house pets but obviously love being active in the outdoors and using their doggy door to explore the yard.

The family has now expanded with an infant and a toddler. Managing two full-time jobs and the babies has added stress and put a strain on the time and care mom and dad can spend with them. The dogs feel the difference and are longing for their pre-baby life back. Mom and Dad’s hearts are broken but feel it is only fair to find the perfect, active family for these two to get their show back on the road.

With the proper introduction, they are good with children and all animals, including cats. If children, 10 or older would be preferable so these dogs can get the attention they need. Huskies need to be part of the pack. They are not happy to be an outdoor pet that is not part of the family. With a little daily exercise and a home of their own, they make absolutely wonderful pets.

To learn more, please call Debbie at 858-531-8919. PLEASE, DO NOT CONTACT BECAUSE ANIMALS MATTER – THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING ONLY – THANK YOU
