Walrussouthern utah adoptable pets Walrus

He is the Walrus! Walrus is too cute– his teensy ears and extra-squishy face will melt your heart the moment you meet! This adorable guy is a young adult looking for a forever home where he can be your One And Only Baby. He will do best in a home without other animals or young children. An intelligent dog who enjoys training and who will benefit from ongoing training in the home to keep him well-exercised and mentally stimulated, Walrus is also a giant cuddle bug who will bond quickly to his people. Be you a carpenter, an egg-man, or just a regular kind of pal, Walrus would love to be your forever boy!

Cooper

Cooper loves to talk about his feelings and he has a lot of them! This dude has some handling sensitivities and can also be shy with new people but once you break through you really get to see his truly goofy side. He really loves to spend the majority of his day basking in the sun outside. Cooper has a permanent smile on his face and would be even happier to know he found his forever home. Ask about Cooper today.

Crosby

“I have met some folks who say that I’m a dreamer”. Our Mr. Crosby could be singin’ this tune just like Bing did. He is a lovely easy-going guy looking to find his special other. Crosby loves his long walks around the sanctuary. He is so engrossed with all the smells and sniffs that when offered a treat he casually ignores it and keeps on sniffing. Even when other dogs are passing by his nose is to the ground.

Did someone mention a car ride? Crosby is your fella ready for an adventure. He enjoys his time in the car keeping his eye out for interesting sights to focus on. Crosby enjoys the company of people. He will follow you around and becomes vocal when you leave. His way of saying ” come back soon, please.” Crosby is a lovable guy who would truly enjoy the company of someone who is looking for a buddy to share life’s adventures with.

Crosby has a generous sponsor that is willing to cover a portion of her adoption fee(s).

Derringer

Derringer would love you to know that he is quite the character. He has a lot of personality with super soft fur and a handsome demeanor. This boy is going to be your main man after a long day at the office. Make arrangements to come in and meet Derringer today!

The Lorax

The Lorax speaks for the trees when he tells you how much he loves to lay in the sun. He has a deep voice and uses it to tell you how happy he is to have you see his orange glow in the sunshine. He takes a little adjusting to new environments but will quickly find the warmest spot and hang out all day.

Pavel

Hello World, I am Pavel!!! I am a gentle soul who is sweet and snuggly like Winnie the pooh. I would love to be in a quiet warm place in your home to sit and watch the happenings all around me. I’m sure we would make a great fit for each other. Please make arrangements to meet me today!

RSQ Dogs+

RSQ Dogs+ is Southern Utah’s newest nonprofit animal rescue group. It is an all-volunteer group dedicated to saving the lives of animals in underserved, rural areas of Washington County. All of the animals in their care are fully vetted including spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, and any medical care they may need. For more information, please contact RSQ Dogs+ at (800) 897-1136 or RSQDogsUtah@gmail.com or visit RSQDogsUtah.org. Note: With respect to the unprecedented situation around COVID-19, any interested adopters can complete an online application and will be contacted by the team.

Lottie

When Mama Lottie was rescued, she came to us with her 5 newborn babies. Mama Lottie was covered in ticks at the time and a bullet was found in her head behind her ear. She is now doing so well! She is weaning her puppies and recovering from an unfortunate haircut she had so we could get all the ticks removed. Recently we found that she has some muscle spasms/twitches around her head. All of her blood work and disease screening came back clear, so it may be due to an old injury to her head, possibly related to the bullet. We’ve started her on medications to see if it helps. It doesn’t seem to bother her or slow her down. She loves going for walks and exploring. She is so sweet and patient. Loud noises seem to scare her, so she would love a calm loving family to call her own!

Betty

Betty is one of Mama Lottie’s sweet puppies. She is a medium-sized, mixed breed, female puppy. This sweet little pup is looking for her furever, loving family.

Ringo

Ringo is another one of Mama Lottie’s sweet puppies. He, too, is a medium-sized, mixed breed, male puppy. This cute little boy just wants a loving family to call his own.

Barry

Barry’s owner could not pay for his medical treatment for an upper respiratory infection and Barry faced euthanasia unless RSQ Dogs+ would agree to take him in. We happily added this adorable boy. He has recovered nicely and anxiously awaits going back into a home. He’s a talkative cat and enjoys head scratches and being brushed. Barry is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone.

Nunya

Nunya was adopted from RSQ Dogs+ as a kitten. Unfortunately, three years later, his adopters are moving and can’t take him and his brother Nacho. He’s now back at the rescue center and after having only known living in a house, he’s become shy. He’s a handsome cat and enjoys being brushed. Nunya is house-trained and would be good in a home with other cats or alone. He just wants to get back to a loving home. Is it yours?

Carrot

Carrot is about as handsome as they come! He is very social and loves to chew up boxes and burrow in his hay. He is a large, male rabbit. Carrot is house-trained and would be good in a home with children. Make arrangements to meet Carrot today so he can bring joy to the whole family.

Elsa, Barney, and Emmie

MEET THE PUPPIES

  • Tiny Elsa came to us from the reservation and we have no idea what sort of girl she’ll grow up to be. All we know is she’s adorable now and very well socialized!
  • Meet Barney who was one of six beautiful puppies born right here at That BAM Place.
  • Meet Emmie who was one of six beautiful puppies born right here at That BAM Place.

These puppies are available LOCALLY ONLY as foster to adopt. Once she has been spayed, the adoption can be finalized and she will be yours forever and ever!

Boonie

Boonie is a sweet little ten-year-old pup looking a real forever home. He’s well behaved, warms up quickly to people, and enjoys playing with kids. He knows come, sit, down, stay, wait, and “Is that treat for me?”

Though not really a lap dog, Boonie enjoys being around people. He currently has dry eyes which require daily cleaning and eye drops and, because he’s a long-haired dog, he will need an adopter committed to keeping him groomed and handsome.

Boonie has been passed around a bit recently and is ready for some stability. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, and ready to go, so come and get him.

Dallas

Five-year-old Dallas is a happy, energetic little dog who came to BAM all the way from Texas. He’s a great little walker and is fearless when playing with big dogs at the dog park. He’s quite confident, warming up quickly to people (especially women), and is very loving, giving kisses generously.

Because he’s so small, older, respectful children in the home are preferred. And we’re told that he does NOT like men wearing black shoes!!! Why? We have no idea.

Aayla

Sweetheart Aayla is a six-year-old bulldog mix who loves being with people, riding in the car, going on walks, and being the center of attention. She is housebroken and kennel trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations.

Aayla has been an only dog and may do best in a home without other pets. Then again, she may be fine with other animals. In any case, she should be introduced to any potential siblings prior to adoption.

If you would like to meet this delightful girl, submit a BAM Adoption Application and, if approved, we’ll contact you within 7 days to arrange a meeting.

Titan and Keeva

Meet this bonded pair: Titan (95 lb Male, 6 yrs) and Keeva (60 lb Female, 5 yrs). Keeva was 8 wks old when she met her big brother and they are tightly bonded. They were their mom and dad’s only children and did everything together: mountain camping, hiking, car rides, playing in streams, strolling the neighborhood. They are primarily house pets but obviously love being active in the outdoors and using their doggy door to explore the yard.

The family has now expanded with an infant and a toddler. Managing two full-time jobs and the babies has added stress and put a strain on the time and care mom and dad can spend with them. The dogs feel the difference and are longing for their pre-baby life back. Mom and Dad’s hearts are broken but feel it is only fair to find the perfect, active family for these two to get their show back on the road.

With the proper introduction, they are good with children and all animals, including cats. If children, 10 or older would be preferable so these dogs can get the attention they need. Huskies need to be part of the pack. They are not happy to be an outdoor pet that is not part of the family. With a little daily exercise and a home of their own, they make absolutely wonderful pets.

To learn more, please call Debbie at 858-531-8919. PLEASE, DO NOT CONTACT BECAUSE ANIMALS MATTER – THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING ONLY – THANK YOU
