City of St. George Brings Back Neighborhood Open Houses

Program Returns May 13 at 2450 East Park

GEORGE — In an effort to further connect with the community, the City of St. George will conduct two Neighborhood Open Houses this Spring. The first will be May 13 at 2450 East Park (130 North 2450 East). The second is scheduled for South Mountain Community Church (3158 East 2000 South) on June 10. Both Neighborhood Open Houses will go from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“Neighborhood Open Houses provide a casual setting for the public to share dialogue with elected officials and City staff to get a better feel for everything that goes on in the city,” said Mayor Michele Randall. “I’m looking forward to meeting with our residents and hearing what they have to say. That helps us make the best decisions for the future of St. George.”

Mayor Randall and all five Council members are expected to attend. City departments that will be represented at the Neighborhood Open Houses include: public works, water, energy services, leisure services, police, fire, golf, human resources, economic development, budget, communications and marketing, finance and legal.

A seven-acre neighborhood park that has a covered pavilion, picnic tables, sand volleyball, basketball courts, an open grass area and a loop walking path, 2450 East Park serves as a fitting location to reach St. George residents who live on the east side of the city.

There will be refreshments and some swag items available at both open houses.
