Casper

Casper is a sweet and gentle boy. He is shy and it takes him a little time to trust at first, but it is well worth the wait. Once he knows you, he adores you. Casper loves belly rubs and comfy beds! He enjoys going on walks with his dog buddies, playing with toys, and just lounging around on cozy beds. Currently he supervises an office in Dogtown Headquarters. Casper is housetrained in the office and not destructive. Casper is searching for his forever home; he just needs someone with a little patience and some TLC who will understand that he can be nervous in new situations and startles easily. If you’d like to meet Casper, please fill out an adoption application today.

Boogie

Meet Boogie- a sweet, good-looking, distinguished gentleman looking for a lifelong companion. He is up for anything- walks, cuddles, and relaxing with people. Make arrangements to come meet this lovely lad at Best Friends, and fill out an adoption application today too.

Brew

“Hello, hi, will you be my friend? My foster mom calls me a gentle goofy giant. I’m happy doing just about anything as long as we’re together. I’m a pretty low-energy guy who appreciates slow walks and lots of cuddling on the couch. I also love car rides and I sit in the back seat like a perfect gentleman.”

Brew would love nothing more than to rest his huge, velvet head on your lap. He’s a true gem and a heart-breaker!

Pumpkin

Pumpkin is extremely smart, loves to play and climb, and takes his treats very seriously. He’s a pretty independent cat, but also likes to take naps by your side (or in your lap!) while you work. He is often seen joining in on conference calls!

Pumpkin enjoys chatting with people and keeping an eye on everything that is happening around his office. He’s independent but food and a warm bed is the key pumpkin’s heart.

This beautiful, sweet boy would love to chill on your lap as you watch TV or help you make phone calls while you work from home.

Frank

Frank is an outgoing cuddle bug who is always looking for a lap to curl up in. He loves treats and head scratches. He is a chatty boy who wants to be your best friend! Frank is positive for FeLV, a virus that can affect a cat’s overall health. Frank will need to live with other FeLV+ cats or be your one and only. Frank is happy and healthy and ready to find his home!

Shadow

Shadow’s name fits him perfectly! He loves to follow his best friend, Kiuke around. He loves to groom her and play with his food puzzles! Could he be your shadow too?

Because of their charming and distinctive personalities, rabbits make wonderful pets. Although they can be social with their human families, bunnies need the companionship of their own kind to thrive. From kissing and cuddling to sleeping and playing, bonded rabbits live as a pair and do everything together to ensure each other’s safety and comfort. Without a companion, rabbits become lonely, depressed, and anxious.

So that our rabbits live their longest, healthiest and happiest lives, we have bonded them with a companion, and we only offer them for adoption in these pairs. Since bonded bunnies share the same bed, exercise pen, litter box, and food and water dishes, caring for two rabbits is just as easy as caring for one. So not only will you save two lives, but you’ll also enjoy watching your two rabbits hop, play, snuggle and enjoy their new home together.

If you’re interested in adopting Shadow, doing so will require that you also adopt his Big Momma, Kiuke: https://bestfriends.org/adopt/adopt-our-sanctuary/15907338/kiuke

Aminah

Aminah is approximately 8 months old and a  ball of energy is here and ready for her new forever home. She is young and super smart. She will do best in a home where she’s the only dog. She will also need a yard and exercise to ensure she doesn’t get in trouble because this girl can go and go and go. She is very affectionate and playful!! Aminah loves toys and people. Her adoption fee is $60.

Toby

Hi, I’m Toby. I was found abandoned. Sometimes I tend to get jealous when someone else is getting attention so a home where I could be the focus would allow me to flourish. I was a little reserved and to be honest, scared the first week I was here. Now that I know it’s safe here I have become much more social. Let me reassure you, I would be very happy to meet you and come to live with you. I am going to need lots of exercise and I am a little high energy when I first get outside but then I calm down and really soak up the lovin’ & attention that I am given. Ya know, a guy can’t pass up attention. I sure am ready for my life to look up again and I can’t wait to find a family that I can rely on and love forever. My adoption fee is $60.

Millie

Millie was found abandoned with her mother Tillie. She is six months old and she can be a little shy until she knows you. Tilly loves people and playing with toys. She is learning to walk on a leash and knows “sit”. Her adoption fee is $60.

Tillie

Tillie was found abandoned in a yard wearing a collar and dragging a leash. She came with her daughter Millie. She is shy but warms up quickly, and loves to be with people. She is doing well with basic manners and leash walking. She is a beautiful dog. Her adoption fee is $60.

Bubba

I love to be included in everything. Whatever you’re up to I’ll be right there with you. I’d make the perfect companion for someone looking for an active lifestyle, and at the end of the day, I make the perfect cuddle buddy. I was found as a stray and they would love to help me find my perfect home.

I’m quite stunning if I do say so myself, but looks aren’t everything! I’m looking forward to finding a lifelong home with people who love and respect me for who I am. In my new home, I’ll love you like no other. Try to think of me as a diamond hidden within the earth; there’s beauty there, but it takes time and effort to bring it to the surface, and once you do that, you will have something incredibly valuable. My adoption fee is $60.

Naveah and Nitelite

Bonded pair Naveah (6 years old) and Nitelite (4 ½ years old) are mother and daughter looking for a home together! These beautiful ladies were surrendered by their owner due to a change in life circumstances, and they’re anxious to get back to a home environment. Sweet, but shy, we may take a little time to warm up at first, mostly because we’re not sure why we’re here. But once we’re comfortable with you, we turn on the charm. We’re hoping for a quiet home where we can sit on the sofa with you and warm up your bed. Spend some time with us so you can see how great we truly are.  WE WOULD LIKE THEM ADOPTED TOGETHER IF POSSIBLE BUT WILL LET THEM FIND SINGLE HOMES IF NECESSARY. Their adoption fees are $40.

Blizzard

Blizzard was found outside an apartment complex near a business that sells his namesake dessert treat. He is very well taken care of, well-fed, and has a collar. No one has come to claim him so he is looking for a new home to call his own. He is a little shy but will warm up and he enjoys being brushed and will roll over for you to brush his belly. He also grumbles on and on as if he is trying to tell you a story about what happened to him. He would do best in a quiet home as the only cat where he can receive all the attention. He hasn’t bothered the kittens or other cats in the room just keeps his distance. He will sit with you but doesn’t enjoy being picked up. His adoption fee is $40.

Paintbrush

Paintbrush is a stunning boy with the cutest splotchy nose and an infectious smile. We guess his age at a year or less. He’s quite social and enjoys a good game of catch.

Paintbrush is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster to adopt. Once he has been neutered, the adoption can be completed and this beautiful boy will be all yours!

Bruiser

Meet Bruiser! Born approximately April 15th, rose-nosed Bruiser is ready to become somebody’s very best friend and can’t wait to start life with his new family. He is well-socialized and loves playing with the other dogs. He’s not just a playboy though…he’ll gladly stop romping for a quick cuddle in your lap.

Bruiser has been neutered and is housebroken, microchipped, and current on his vaccinations.

Greta

Greta was born approximately July 1. She’s good with other dogs, kids and cats too! She’s loving, sweet, and playful and wants all the attention for herself.

Greta is available LOCALLY ONLY as a foster to adopt. Once she has been spayed, the adoption can be completed and this cutie patootie will be all yours!

Quincy

Although she isn’t doing the full husky howl yet, baby Quincy is already very talkative and she has plenty of important things to say.

Born May 31st, she’s almost … but not quite … house trained. She loves water and would be so happy with an adopter who doesn’t mind snuggling a wet girl! She has fun with dogs of all sizes and even gets along with cats!

Quincy’s going to make a great family dog but her puppy teeth are razor sharp and she likes to bite so she should be fully supervised around kids. She needs lots of chew toys until those big-girl teeth come in.

Ozzie

Ozzie is a sweet, playful girl who is ready for any adventure. At 3-1/2 years old, she has a lot of energy and loves to play. This girl can occupy herself alone outside but also loves to romp with kids and other dogs. She will always be happy to stop to give you kisses and follow you around admirably.

Ozzie does have a strong prey drive, however, so cats and chickens are not going to be safe with her. She’s an amazing dog that someone gave up on too soon. She is ready for a parent or family to give their love and time to her.

Diamond

Eight-year-old Diamond is a gentle girl who would give anything to be in an easy-going home with someone special who will take her on leisurely walks and activities and smother her with hugs! She adores sitting in the shady grass and just being loved on.

The poor girl was rescued from a kill shelter in California and, even though she’s safe now, she’s not a fan of being kenneled and would much prefer sitting on a couch with her humans all day watching soap operas.

Diamond enjoys the company of other dogs and will gently remind those that are too playful to be respectful of her age. She’s not a grumpy old lady though–if you ever want a laugh, just get a toy out and watch her play. She steals everyone’s hearts. She has lots of love in her and just needs someone to share it with.

Roxy

Roxy needs a playmate!  This girl is so affectionate, full of life, and smart, smart, smart!!! She wants nothing more than get outside and play ball, tug, you name it–she just wants to play!

Unfortunately, life changes didn’t allow pretty Roxy to stay with her family and she has to be re-homed. She’s a wonderful girl (did we mention that she’s smart?) who needs someone with an active lifestyle and time to help develop her mind. She would probably be a great agility dog, frisbee fetcher, and/or running/hiking partner. And once she’s worn you out, she’ll snuggle up to you on the couch for cuddles and cookies. (Exercise and cookies- you can’t lose!) And can you imagine gazing into those gorgeous eyes every day?
